"As world travelers, my wife and I both think this was one of the coolest places we've ever stayed. Its just so unique, like living inside of a tropical garden. Friendly staff, layed back and an EXCELLENT waterfront. The wife is a beach girl, but the lack of sand was not a problem!!! We visited a few other hotels/resorts while on Moorea, and not one of them made us feel any envy. There is a really good restaurant next door and a local convenience store a couple blocks away that has anything you need. Every day/night you will see rays and sharks right below your feet, along with many tropical fish living in the reef below the dock. Totally safe to swim with all of these creatures too!!!"

"The water in the shower never did get hot. The gal at the front desk said to let it run 15 minutes it it never got hot. Fortunately the weather was warm so a warm shower was fine. The resort is very pretty with amazing sunset views however there weren’t any lounge chairs for the beach. Everyone lined up and stood on the beach to watch the sunset. I had a great mojito made with fresh lime and fresh mint. Really tasty but $28!!! Ask before you request"

"We had the most memorable stay thanks to the wonderful host, Kiki. So friendly and welcoming. The room was immaculate. Extremely clean and the communal kitchen area was well stocked with everything you can think of. It’s so nice to have a full kitchen available to help lower the overall costs of a vacation (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker…) And having washing machine made a huge difference. We were able to pack less and keep our beach towels clean😊. You cannot beat the location. The Lodge is less than a 10 minute walk from the ferry terminal. There is a small market nearby and a large grocery store five minutes away. There is also a Hertz and Thrifty rental car location within a five minute walk as well. Our favorite beach, Temae beach is an 8 min drive away. When you walk down the driveway. You cross the street and can see the sun rising over the bay. It is so beautiful and serene. Wonderful way to start the day. I would recommend this Lodge to everyone. Great for solo travel and also for families. It was the best price I found on the entire island, and was so pleased with the result. A lot of times you look at pictures of an periphery and you are underwhelmed when you arrive. This was the complete opposite. The pictures were good, but it was even better in person. 5 stars for the accommodations, amenities, location, staff, and value. Staying at this Lodge made our already amazing vacation an unforgettable one. I highly highly highly recommend Vaiare Lodge."

"This pension is run by a family. They were lovely and we felt part of the family when we left a week later. The owner cooks for you if you request it. By the way healthy meals, delicious, and well balanced. You can have breakfast as well if you let them know the day prior. I highly recommend this place situated in a quiet area where relaxation takes absolute center place"
