"The hotel was a neat trendy place to stay for the night. The location was good being close to the train station and the centre of the city. The room was 60’s and 70’s decor with some nice modern accents. I enjoyed a nice evening after walking around the city in the restaurant which had a little wine tasting, good food and luckily I was there on the Thursday night for jazz music. I was offered a prosecco as well as I reserved a table earlier in the day at reception. I would recommend this place as I felt the price quite reasonable and the location was great. "
"Staff were friendly and attentive. Location was within walking distance to many things, including public transport. Breakfast was good and room was pleasant. - Restaurant was closed, with was unfortunate as this wasn't communicated ahead of time."
"As one walks from the Gare Saint-Roch, this hotel is nearby but out of sight. It sits near (and behind) the Polygone. The best approach is to leave from the upper floor of the train station through the doors to the north and take the metal footbridge directly onto the street where the tram runs. Cross the street and tram tracks and then follow that sidewalk down the incline bending to the left and then rising slightly back up. The tram tracks will be running along your right as you walk. There is a set of stone stairs that goes up toward a small wooded area in front of the property, but the Mercure sign will be visible at the top of the hotel. Take the stairs up and go around the wooded area (left is probably best) to the front of the hotel. Total walking time is less than 15 minutes. "
