"Great central location with a Starbucks across the street. Perfect for business trip and family trip as well. Very close to the aquarium. Wonderful staff. We forgot our laptop with movies on it on checkout and the front desk staff were extremely helpful and looking for it. When they couldn't find it in the room, they said that we were welcome to look for it. We eventually did find it. Really great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again in the future."

"Great location, close to beach, bike rental, restaurants, Cannery Row and Monterey Bay Aquarium. Staff is helpful and friendly. No laundry facilities, pillows are hard and fridge is noisy. Coffee and hot chocolate was very good and also complimentary. "

"1) when booking, I selected "pay at property", as this was a working trip. I arrived to check in and use my work card, not the one that Expedia had on file. I found the hotel had charged my personal card which resulted in an overdraft fee and several hours of trying to sort out my account. They would not let me use the bank card I brought with me. When contacted about the best way to proceed with a refund or to charge a different card, I was told it was a third party processing problem, not theirs. When contacting Expedia I was told to contact the property. At a loss. 2) the odor in the room, specifically emanating from the drain, was incredibly bad. The entire room smelled like sewage. Slept with the windows and doors open to sleep comfortably. 3) as we were leaving in the morning I was waiting outside my room, since it smelled so bad inside, sitting on one of the flower bed ledges. The maid was cleaning the room above us and without looking below shook out a dirty mat covering me with debris, rocks, and dust. My team witnessed this happen. At the very least glance down at the walkway before shaking a dirty mat out over where guests may be. I’ve never left a negative review about a hotel before this one. So disappointing. "

"Windows were falling apart wouldn't close all the way, sink was not secured to the wall. TV was not working. We were staying in the historical part which I'm sure contributed."

"The staff is super friendly. The waitstaff in the restaurant hustles! They're on it for the breakfast rush! Our room had a balcony on the water, it was spectacular! The bed is fluffy, comfortable. The towels are huge, soft. The coffee maker is a Nespresso...so good! We had facials in the spa, again all the staff is so kind! I will definitely be back for more rest and relaxation!"
