"We enjoyed our four night stay. The hotel is in a great location right in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Underground parking is included at no charge so all you have to do is park once and then it's a short walk to Ocean Avenue and all the great shops, restaurants, wine tasting rooms and galleries. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The hotel staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. Like most hotels in Carmel the property is older with some deferred maintenance...

"The property is very cute. Great location to walk to shops and restaurants. Clean and quiet. Constructive feedback; the towels are thin and cheap. For a high end property the towels should be thick and high quality. And why just two ? I have long hair, I use two towels a day and my husband needs one towel. There is no iron only a steamer. That’s not the same and when you are traveling and want to go out to dinner you need an iron. The closet is only a cupboard so dresses and pants cannot fully hang. There is no air conditioning. The room was stuffy. The champagne breakfast is false advertising. No one was drinking champagne at breakfast and it wasn’t offered. You have to ask for coffee and wait for them to bring it in little cups. Why not have an urn? The evening reception was nice but service was slow and nothing is complimentary. They didn’t refill the Nespresso coffee pods in the room daily so we had to ask for them. The tissues and toilet paper were also poor quality. Franco the morning sever was great!"
