"Dissapointing, unpleasant smell and a dated interior. Good location, but very dated, raw brick interior with an unpleasant smell inside the rooms. Online pictures of the property didn't match the reality. Interior of the rooms and bathroom had a dusty/mouldy smell, not I think from any lack of cleaning but more from the old fit out and build up of dust and damp in the exposed brick mortar and old grout joints between tiling. "Upon check-in we were advised of our upstairs unit, although when we booked, we had requested a ground-floor unit. A quick check confirmed this was the case and one was located for us. Room was nice and big with a KS bed, toaster, kettle and microwave. Certainly great value for money - $95/night."

"The accommodation was clean and comfortable, if a little dated. Facilities were basic but the presence of a microwave was a real help. One drawback was that the air conditioner was quite noisy but, in Mildura in mid winter, was a constant necessity. An electric blanket for the bed would have allowed me to turn off the air-conditioner."

"Had a few questions about the room, door to pool etc. The owner came straight over and helped us out immediately. It appears they have recently bought the place and are in the process of improving it. I was impressed that the rooms were well catered. Toaster, microwave, tea, coffe, biscuits plates, knifes, forks, spoons, glasses, even wine glasses, coffee cups, full sets of towels, hand cloths, etc. Even high end hotels don't cater for their guests as good as this. I do note the outside lights come on a little after dark. Probably time vlock control instead of opto sensor or now days programs can go by BOM sunset and sunrise daily changing times. The hotel is well positioned with easy walk to centre of town, clubs, aquatic center and KFC across the road. Although there is a Resturant also within the motel. Security gates keep this place well secured at night. I might suggest that since the motel is an older build that sound absorbing wall coverings are added to the inside of each room to keep noise from other rooms at minimum. You only seem to notice this at night once the background noise drops off. But all in all very impressed. Will be back again."
