"I stay here every time in town. A very small hotel with very few employees who recognize me when I come in eventhough I only stay 2 to 3 times a year. The view of Oyster Bay is great and available from every rooms balcony. It is clean! Old school place so if you want new and fancy, don't come. Real glass drink glasses - I just love that nostalgia. Towels are quality. Breakfast a small affair with breads, pastries, boiled eggs and fruit only which is just fine with me."

"The staff was friendly, easy checkin- and checkout. Being disabled, we had a floor unit which was easy to manage. After leaving we noticed that my cane had been left behind. I called and asked about having it sent to me C.O.D., Management carefully located it, and returned my call. They sent it and did so without any charge. I greatly appreciate their kindness. Genuinely referring anyone that is traveling thru Shelton to book into the friendly Shelton Lodge."

"We needed a room between stops and I was unsure when I booked here how it would be. The staff was beyond nice, the room was clean and had great aesthetics and it was perfectly in town (we even snuck in the Rodeo Drive in) for everything we needed."

"A little outdated and the property needs a fresh coat of paint but our room was clean and staff were so friendly and helpful. There’s a cute trail in the back which is a plus for kids. Will be back when in Hoodsport!"
