"I wish I could upload the pictures I took. The furniture was stained and gross. The place smelled of mold. What was really upsetting was the pictures online were beautiful. Once I walked in the kitchen was a dump. The bathroom was gross. I immediately tried to speak with somebody. I was only able to text. They did offer me another suite. I immediately declined. I just wanted to go home. I wish I could have gotten my money back. It is what it is. I know the place was super cheap for the weekend....

"Very unique historical property. Service was very friendly, the room was small but clean. We would have liked a mini fridge but other than that, it was lovely. Breakfast was included at a nearby deli and it was fabulous. We also ate at the Riverside Grille on the property for dinner. Amazing! "

"We loved Sand Castle, we were greeted by friendly staff who let us check in early so we could enjoy the pool. The motel was a little older but rooms were clean and comfortable, beautiful location, great pool and beachfront. Easy free parking for guests and lots of restaurants, coffee shops and shopping. It was a great few days and we would definitely stay again. Thank you. 😊 "

To make matters worse I accidentally left an expensive pair of sunglasses in the bathroom. I am absolutely certain of where I left them. By the time I realized and contacted the hotel right after my Uber had already left I was told nothing had been found. That response is extremely concerning and disappointing.
Overall this experience was frustrating and unacceptable. Between the lack of cleanliness and the handling of my lost item I will be escalating this issue to corporate."

"We happen to have a room that you could see the ocean and the rooms are very spacious with a microwave a fridge a little two top oven, which we wouldn’t use but the fridge in the microwave are very handy. This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and I really enjoy it. Good location and a nice spot."

"The breakfast was the best part. Sower did not have any water pressure, and the shower drain was plugged up. was charged $15 a day for parking per room for 3 days. we had 2 rooms and only 1 car was charged $90. Explained that to them we only had 1 car we got ripped off. No access to beach. Hot tub was not in service."

"We had a great experience at The Shores. I got a deal on Black Friday on Expedia and we decided to take our honeymoon here. We checked in on a Monday evening and checked out around 4am on Saturday. We got a oceanfront king room, everything was quite clean. The bed was not very comfortable and the toilet seat was hanging by a prayer, but overall we enjoyed our stay. The complimentary s'mores was a super fun treat, but we only did it our first night. The pool was lovely, but there were visible...
