The rooms are basic, but clean and new. My room had a fridge, A/C, and a small balcony at the door with a sitting area for two. I was surprised by the restaurant with fairly large menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I had a vegan entree for dinner, which was good but not great, still worth the money and added variety (and tastes better) than my camping fare. I was solo and this was my kick off to several days of hiking in Yosemite.

We stayed here with our family for two nights since Yosemite National Park is close by. There is a restaurant on-site where you can order food, or you can cook for yourself in the kitchen. The grounds are nice enough, but the room was small, the bed sheets were not very clean, and the shower cabin was extremely small. The shower gel, shampoo, and soap were very watery because they had been diluted with water. Every time a car drove past, our cabin shook like an earthquake. To be honest, I wouldn't stay here a second time. I'm giving it 3 stars mainly for the location, as the hotel is right in the forest.

Best thing was that it was near the El Portal entrance to Yosemite National Park. Parking was a nightmare especially if you arrive later in the evening. Room was eclecticly decorated. Bathroom was newer and shower was nice.

Everything was awesome, the only gripe I have is that we went to use the spa at 10pm, an hour before they close and we were still charged the full price of the day pass of $20 each. So, we paid 40 dollars to use the hot tub for an hour. I get it but also, I think there should be acceptations for people who check in late and leave early. Besides that, the rooms were awesome, very well kept. Super comfy beds, the food at the cafe was yummy, coffee was great. I would come back here!

We had a great stay here! The rooms were spacious with a charming, old-school feel. The location is about an hour’s drive from Yosemite Valley in Mariposa, set in a truly gorgeous area. The restaurant served amazing food at very good value for money, especially the trail lunch pack, which was both affordable and incredibly well prepared. The cheap laundry facilities were also very convenient during our stay. The staff were extremely helpful and offered plenty of great recommendations for things to do in Yosemite Valley, which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend this place!

This is a wonderful “family camp” style place to stay. It’s affordable, and close to Yosemite, and offers rooms with multiple beds. But be aware that it’s very much a camp vibe - not hotel or resort. Workers and guests are friendly. Food is good and served in large portions. Overall we enjoyed its rustic charms.

This was surprise. You hooked a left and zoomed down some windy roads to and up on a hill top surrounded by beautiful trees. It felt like I had gone back to outdoor school The people were great and food was good ! Room was comfy and clean. Very rustic !

What a place !!!!! Exactly what we needed before we knew we needed it. Staff was outstanding, friendly and accommodating. Do not let the name of the cafe fool you (June Bug Cafe). The food and selection was 5 star. We ate every meal there. They even offer sack lunches to go. Bed was super comfortable, the room was roomy and included an outdoor porch with 2 chairs and a table. Location to Yosemite was perfect. Approx 30 minutes to the east entrance off of 140 A diamond in the rough you do not want to miss.

Clean and quiet room, very comfortable bed. Helpful staff. This is a hillside property so there are steps in various places. So nice to have a restaurant on-site. I hope to try the hot tub and massage next time.

Separate duplex cabins scattered on a forested hillside. Rustic stairs between facilities can be challenging for older people. Very quiet. Good food and varied menu, but noisy restaurant during peak hours.
