"Called early in the day to confirm reservations and ask for adjoining rooms. Arrived at check-in time and was half-way through check in before they happened to mention that the pool had been closed for "maintenance" and they didn't know when it would re-open. We had booked for rooms for a meet-up of cousins and had quite a few kids excited to spend time together swimming in the pool. I can understand having an issue requiring the pool to be closed, but waiting until we were almost checked in to tell us is unacceptable, especially after having called in twice earlier in the day. On top of that, they denied our request to cancel our reservation through hotels.com, even though we went directly to another hotel and paid for rooms there. "

"The rooms were exceptionally clean and quaint. The staff were quite friendly and able to answer all our questions. We all thoroughly enjoyed dining in the tavern. The food and service staff were great. I would definitely recommend the Aurora Inn to anyone. "
