What are some of the general tips for travellers to Mid-Wales during the COVID-19 outbreak?
COVID-19 has transformed the world in a profound way, including how we can travel safely. These tips will help you understand the new challenges and get you ready for your escape to Mid-Wales:
  • Before locking in your flight, see if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Stay informed with the latest updates by reviewing government and travel websites.
  • When you go through airport screening, keep your face mask on. You will be asked to briefly lower it for identification purposes. Those who refuse to wear a face mask may be denied entry or boarding.
  • Rather than handing a TSA employee your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. Then, hold it up for inspection.
  • You're allowed to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on bag. This will need to be taken out for X-ray screening.
  • Put any personal items (like your phone and wallet) in your carry-on instead of a bin to minimize handling during screening.
  • Separate any food you're carrying for X-ray scanning. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA agent to handle and inspect your belongings.
