Beautiful view and beautiful property. The breakfast was very good, very homey and romantic. We were able to see some whales in the afternoon. Many wonderful restaurants within a 5 min drive.

Beautiful Site with Welcoming People
Gorgeous grounds and views with friendly, helpful staff. Not having a shower (tub instead) surprised me, so good to ask that specific question in advance.

Lovely quiet getaway spot - straight shot into Mendocino. Nice breakfast, great cookies. Staff very helpful. Parking could be delineated better. Lots of streaming apps on TV but to use you have to have or set up an account. And remember to logout of your account before departure. Better to have a couple of channels paid for for guests to use than have to go through the complicated sign-in procedure.

It's a really great place with a breathtaking view to the Pacific and cliffs. Happy hour with a glass of wine every day. Homebaked bread and the best pancakes during our stay in USA. Very friendly staff, nice atmosphere and a warm welcome with lots of lovely flowers in the entrance area. Extraordinary!

A quiet room with a view
Beautiful landscaping, large room with a view of the ocean, delicious breakfasts, our room (The Sunstone) was very quiet. My one negative comment would be that upon entering the room there was a very strong smell of bleach/ammonia - it got better after the second day. Next time, we will request either room "Obsidian" or "Emerald." They do share a wall so they might not be totally quiet but it looks like they both have a nice view of the ocean.

Charming Norcal stay
Loved my stay at the Agate Cove Inn. Check in was smooth and the wine hour was a great addition. The property has a amazing coastal views. I stayed in Moonstone and it was super cozy, especially loved the window seat. Breakfast that is provided is great and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the views.

Excellent property if you’re staying in Mendocino. Cute set of cottage rooms, set in a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. The staff are sweet and friendly and the breakfast service is fantastic! Feels homemade, and plenty of vegetarian options. There is no full length mirror in the room, but otherwise the stay was great. 5 min drive from downtown, and the views from the breakfast room are breathtaking. I absolutely recommend.

A Fabulous place to stay!!
I love the Agate Cove Inn. The ocean view is astounding and you can enjoy it in their adirondack chairs or inside on a cold day and look out through their floor to ceiling windows. The breakfasts are included and they are divine, includes a hot dish. All the rooms are separate cottages, very private with an assigned parking spot. It’s close to downtown, my husband walked every day in the morning. Stephanie, the new manager, was nice, professional and had great customer service. My husband and I were there 24 years ago when we were dating and finally went back. It was just as lovely as the first time. And we plan to keep coming back!

Stay was good overall and is a beautiful property. Pros: Beautiful views around the property Breakfast was good and restaurant staff very friendly Room was comfortable Cons: Front desk was not the friendliest on arrival. Neither housekeeping service was requested nor room was cleaned in our 2 night stay. Was not informed on arrival that we need to request clean service. Partial ocean view room is quite similar to a room with no view. You get a bear minimal view of the ocean, at least the room which we stayed in.

What an awesome experience! The location and view couldn’t be better, with delicious restaurants and cafes right down the street. The room was exceptionally clean, staff was kind and the breakfast was fresh and much better than your typical hotel.

Lovely property. Could have more comfortable chairs in the room. We didn’t have anywhere to sit and watch tv in the evening after along day of hiking.

Great location. Great breakfast. Confirmed moonstone room days earlier. Received notification that we were being upgraded to Emerald room. After driving 4 hours found other people in Emerald room. Then was given Topaz room in far back corner by Hiway.

The property itself was beautiful. The view from the breakfast room was lovely. Everything else was deeply disappointing or ridiculous. After viewing the room online, I was prepared for a quality experience. That didn't happen. The "garden area" was disgusting. No one could have eaten there. The room was furnished with second-hand furniture. There was a spider web in the ceiling. We planned on a two-night stay but left after one night, having arrived late on our first evening. We are still waiting to be reimbursed for the second night.

We had a nice long weekend stay in the Topaz room. Mendocino is beautiful and the property is excellent with a gorgeous garden and great views of the ocean with killer sunsets. We got our breakfasts in room both mornings and were more than satisfied with the food. Such a treat to get breakfast delivered especially on day 2 when we were rushing out the door to a whale watching trip. I think this place has a ton of potential, only thing I would improve is our room felt a bit incomplete. Half of the room had nice furniture and decor (the bed was so comfy!) and the other half felt like something was missing. There was no dresser and a rug would have been really great as the wood floors do get cold in the night. Also we had trouble operating the fireplace which is linked to the thermostat. When we were able to get it working it was cozy and wonderful though. Oh and it's worth noting that while the inn is quite close to the village (about 20 min walk to restaurants) there are no sidewalks and the roads are not well lit so plan to drive at night.

Lovely walk out to the Mendocino Headlands State Park, quick drive into Mendocino for dinner and supermarket. Excellent made-to-order breakfast, the most beautiful view you'll ever have from your table! Comfortable room with gas fireplace, lovely landscaping, spectacular ocean sunsets from the lawn.
