Hotel Gringo Perdido

"Beyond thankful for this place! I am absolutely returning and recommending to others. Why? 1) the location and venue is gorgeous and the amenities for paddleboard and kayak was a plus, the lake has a board to jump off, the coffee was delicious, the beautiful animals that greet you, the food besides being absolute delicious was super healthy and clean and beautiful presentation. The juices were fresh waters, the desserts and apps a plus. Lost but not least the people were very helpful when I needed help what’s up responses were fast and prompt, definitely get your cars to and from with them and tours easy breezy. You are in nature, important to bring quetzal and local dollars as the place is remote for tips if you need even for Tikal."

"Staff was wonderful, food was great, food service was awesome , pool was clean , transportation was easy to arrange, place was quiet and easy to enjoy the nature sounds, the one thing I did not enjoy was the mosquitos! They are everywhere even with the bed netting we were severely attacked. Bring ALOT of bug repellent. Other than this problem. Place was awesome. I do plan on staying here again. Thank you Leticia for your wonderful food service."

"Loved the vibe this property had. My overall stay was pretty good, the food was made fresh to order, the staff were as helpful as possible as my Spanish is extremely limited. The room could have been a bit cleaner but it’s understandable it’s basically out in the forest so perfectly clean wasn’t expected. It was unfortunate the power was out for the majority of my last day stay, I was checking out so I didn’t bother to ask about it. I will say, I’m more than sure I was grossly over charged for meals, 5 meals surely doesn’t cost just over $300USD, surely. But as the worker was alone with no one else to help calculate nor translate I begrudgingly paid what she requested. All in all, to be honest, I wouldn’t stay here again."

"This was the best stay ever! This property is fantastic! It has a very tasty restaurant, caring staff, a nice pool, and its location in Tikal is amazing! One of my favorite things about this hotel was how the wildlife was right outside your room! I saw birds, monkeys, and pizotes. This hotels location was perfect to enjoy the parks- I booked a sunset tour with the hotel which was also AMAZING! This hotel was an entire experience in itself and I am so happy I was able to stay here."

"We loved out stay at Casa de Don David! The grounds are beautiful and the rooms were comfortable for our visit to Tikal. The food was also delicious. The staff helped us arrange a driver for airport pickup and dropoff as well as transportation to and from Tikal. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you!"
