Dear Travis, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our service and offering.We understand that you were disappointed with not being able to use the BBQ and for feeling that our communication was not clear enough. As you know, we are a unique accommodation service that is not self contained. We showcase local products, food and wine and have a range of different food options available prior to arrival and also on offer during your stay and are not a BYO affair. Part of our charm is that we are a little hard to find. Therefore we have a consistent communication strategy leading up to each stay. We were in contact with you after booking, 7 days prior to your arrival, a day before and on the day of your arrival via both email and texts. At each of these message points we did not receive any message or indication that you would like to use the BBQ or that you had specific dietary requirements. It was only after arrival that we heard from you and that you wanted to use the BBQ. We apologise if our team's attempts to find a solution by offering you a BBQ pack for the next day did not meet your expectations. We would like to clarify that we the BBQ pack is not just one meal, it includes a selection of restaurant quality meats, salad, artisan bread and a variety of condiments from the local area, enough for the duration of your stay. Everything is sourced fresh so we do require a little notice to be able to get it all. But as described, it also includes the BBQ hire for the duration of your stay and the cleaning afterwards. This information was sent to you personally but it is also available on all offering descriptions including our website. Additionally, we do offer a range of dietary options to cater to our guests' needs. We believe that the view is no just for carnivores. Therefore we are more than happy to provide you with a vegan, no pork, no beef, vegetarian, keto, gf, low fodmap, low histamine (just to name a few) options. However, this does require a response from you to let us know that you would, one, like to have a BBQ and two, have dietary requirements. Despite the lack of a BBQ, we truly hope that you were able to enjoy your additional larder purchases, the view and have a lovely weekend while you stayed. Thank you for your highly recommended review. The cabins are warm and well equiped for retreating into. It was unfortunate that the weekend you stayed the entire Melbourne and range area was battered by a cold front and quite wild weather. Nonetheless it was great to hear you were warm and could observe the wild weather from you cabin with a supply of local produce and wines from the local area. We can’t wait to welcome you again.
