"Charming, family run hotel in a quiet section of Plauen, close to the city center. Breakfast included and really good. Staff helpful. Owner kind enough to sell me a beer even though restaurant had closed. She found me a charger for my IPad, Room was small but comfortable, clean and priced well. Book early, this hotel is popular and fills up fast."

"I had a big problem getting the key to the room. There was no note or message to explain how to get the key. I tried to call several times but there was no answer. It was a most challenging experience."

"This is a beautiful old hotel property. It has great bones and the rooms have been updated and modernized nicely. That said, there are some very quirky aspects to the property. Firstly, there is no reception - just an automated machine that provides a key card. This means that there is no one to ask about parking, amenities etc. The second thing is that no one speaks English at all. The cleaning staff was very sweet but could not speak a word. We had to use Google Translate for all...

"Great countryside overnight stay at the Bulow family! Easy parking just outside and very clean and comfy beds. Would def stay there again when travelling across Germany."

"Das Frühstück ist mehr als einfach und dafür mit 14,90 € als sehr hochpreisig einzustufen. Bei der Dame vom Frühstücksservice hatte man das Gefühl Störfaktor zu sein. Fragen beantwortete sie eher schnippisch."

"Zimmer wie im Krankenhaus und sehr kalt. Obwohl Heizung auf 5. Sehr harte und dünne Matratze, sehr dünne Decke. Sehr weite Wege. Entgegen der Beschreibung kein Restaurant vorhanden. Pool erst ab 20:00uhr nutzbar. Sauna nur gegen Aufpreis. Frühstück sehr überschaubar und keine 15€ Wert. "
