"This is an ideal hiker's hotel. It's not a luxury hotel, and it should not be expected to be one. This is the hotel you want when your goal is to pursue recreational activities in Baxter State Park. The rooms are clean. The parking is free. There are a few items in the free breakfast you might want, but if you're getting up and going early, it's probably more relevant that you have a microwave and refrigerator in your room. I was able to get up at 3 AM, make my oatmeal, and make it out the door by 4:30 AM to get in line for the Katahdin permit by 5 AM. The staff was very helpful in pointing me the first night toward the grocery store and dining options."

"Pet friendly room. "Continental Breakfast" was VERY limited in selection, but it was free, so i guess you get what you pay for. (Gas station and Dunkin Donuts across the street have much of what you probably want.) We needed a place to sleep on our trip north, and this place met that need."
