Akra Antalya

"Antalya’s Akra Hotel is excellent. It has a fantastic team that is very helpful, superb facilities, especially the gym, and rich and varied cuisine. However, I have three serious complaints about our stay there from August 9 to August 16. First, we took a taxi from the hotel with a driver who does business with them. He turned out to be fraudulent. We wanted to go to Terra Mall. The hotel staff member told him to take us there explicitly. The driver told us he was also a real estate agent and said he could help us buy an apartment. I told him I was not interested. Instead of taking us to Terra Mall, he took us to a remote place and charged us four times the fare to Terra. He dropped us in front of a shop whose owner he knew. He said he would wait for us until we completed our shopping. I told him this was not a mall and threatened to report him. He panicked and took us to our intended destination. When I returned to the hotel, I immediately reported him to the office “Guest Experiences.” I gave the staff the car model and a photo of the driver. The guy promised to investigate and get back to us. I heard nothing from the hotel, even though we stayed there for four days after the incident. Failure to get back to me on this case is utterly unacceptable and, if anything, suggests that the hotel administration turns a blind eye to such violations. The second incident concerns the no-smoking policy in the rooms, which was one of the reasons I chose Akra."

"Breakfast was very nice, staff were polite, helpful and considerate. Rooms were clean and comfortable! (Bathroom extractor fans is a must so smell is not taken into the bedroom areas). We as a family enjoyed every single bit of the hotel. And took advantage of everything that was included for us. Anything we had to pay for was not too expensive as well, the staff made everything run smoothly. The hotel smells nice and in all rooms they have a fantastic smells of free shampoo/ conditioner/ body wash and hand wash. (I wish they could sell it! I would buy it! ) The ONLY the thing that brings the hotel down is not having an outdoor pool. And this part of where Divan Hotel is in Mersin it doesn’t have a beach. You have to drive at least 1/2 hour to get to a nice beach. Anything close is dirty and smells like sewing water. So the council really does need to sort it out. BUT has nothing to do with the hotel. Thank you Divan Hotel (I really will come again to relax.) "
