Situated on a mountainside that feels remote despite being minutes from a highway, this lodge offers villas that feel secluded and "away from it all," along with ocean views. The villas are luxuriously appointed with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, gas fireplaces and beautiful artwork. We enjoyed walking the grounds, sweating in the sauna, and eating delicious meals at the lodge. The staff were super friendly. If you're looking for a private escape just an hour from Auckland, this is your place.
