"Great location and nice rooms, breakfast is a little lacking and only one lift. Sound proofing in rooms was really good blocking out most of the port noise but not 100% Would stay again"

"Good location in the Vieux Port. Great views of the harbour- can be noisy due to entertainment there. Staff not that friendly, rooms clean, breakfast ok. No decaffeinated coffee available but close to cafes. Great market on Sundays. "

"Room was fine, but somewhat small. No room for a closet or shelves to put clothes, so we had to use the table for our clothes. The toilet seat was a bit to small, it was actually a difficult for a grown man to fit all "parts" into the toilet bowl."

"Very basic hotel. Front desk staff was helpful. They arranged a taxi to the airport for me. They advertised 24 hour food services which wasn't the case. The hotel is directly behind the train station. The walkway to the hotel entrance smelled of dog feces. "

"After-hours check-in was not possible. The hotelier gave us an access code by email to enter the building after reception had closed (we arrived in the middle of the night as our flight was delayed) but the keypad outside the front door did not work, even after multiple attempts. The phone number provided on the door also went straight to a message bank. Expedia assisted with calling the hotelier on my behalf but the hotelier only spoke French and merely reiterated the access code. Had we not encountered another hotel guest who let us into the building we would have been stranded outside all night. Not all reception staff spoke English. The room as advertised promised a washing machine but there was none in our room. The descriptions in that aspect were therefore misleading and deceptive. Further, the room faced a narrow alleyway to the Old Port and provided almost no view. The words 'partial view' in the room description were only technically correct but future guests should be warned that the view was extremely limited and almost non-existent."

"The hotel owner is extremely kind and professional. He checked us in early and upgraded our room. The room has 2 sofas and lots of space for 2 people. Very comfortable with a mini kitchen (hot water kittle, Nespresso coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave and all the cups/dishes/utensils). It even has a mini dishwasher. Even though we didn’t use it but it was very confident, so you don’t need to do dishes during your vacation. There is also coin operated washers and dryers on the first floor. Super helpful and both machines operate excellently. He also lent us international adapters so we can charge our phones and laptop (for ours did not work). We really enjoyed the hotel and its amenities (most of all, his great customer service). The hotel overall is a little outdated. But for us, safety and conveniently located are important. This hotel provided that. We felt very safe in the hotel. You need a room key to press your floor. No outsider can have access to this hotel. The neighborhood around the hotel may look sketchy. There are street arts along the way and around the neighborhood. But we feel Marseille is a city popular for street arts. There was a homeless person sleeping outside. But he was harmless and did not bother us once. Overall, we enjoyed greatly. Thank you."
