My family and I made reservations to stay here for 5 nights last week. We were driving to Marseille from Barcelona (5+ hour drive). At the time, unknown to us, there were fires happening on the route to Marseille (which neither the hotel nor Expedia warned us about). As a result, on our drive in, police told us to turn around and go back as it was not safe to drive to Marseille. We drove back to Barcelona and were forced to book a night there at a random hotel, losing our first night at Radisson Blu. The next day, before attempting to drive to Marseille again, we called Radisson Blu (useless call center) and emailed them to find out if it was okay to come. No one responded to our email or called back. We drove there anyway to avoid forfeiting our reservation and have nowhere else to stay while in another country. We finally made it to Marseille, only to find out the fire was now IN Marseille and the MRS airport was closed (which we needed to fly out of at the end of our stay). We stayed one night at the hotel and checked out the next morning because the air quality was so bad. We changed our flight to an earlier flight heading out of Nice airport and booked new stay in Nice. We explained this to hotel management and asked for a refund for the 4 nights we paid for and did not get to use. They said since the booking was made with Expedia, we need to contact them. Of course, Expedia pointed the finger at the hotel and said they need to approve the refund, which they did not.
