I stayed at Eden Andalou Aquapark & Spa.
Cleanliness was poor. At check-in there was gum in the sink and the bathroom was not clean, and even after I asked it was never fixed. In our first room the walls were so thin we heard people yelling at night.
At the pool, the lifeguard spoke to us in a condescending way, watched us, and pushed us to buy floaties for my daughters even though they can swim.
We also noticed what felt like favoritism at meals. One morning I was told croissants were finished, but shortly after another family who didn’t look like us asked and were given pastries. I was told to sit and wait and still received nothing until I went to the manager. A similar thing happened when I asked for fruit at dinner.
The way my brother was treated was upsetting. When he came to visit he wasn’t allowed past the lobby. I paid to add him as a guest, yet staff kept his passport “in a safe” and would not let him go until he gave another ID. The next morning a different receptionist said they don’t keep guests’ IDs and there was no record of it, and he ended up missing his train.
We also had problems with the shuttle. A manager said it would be free because of these issues, but the next day the front desk still tried to charge us and kept us waiting with no clear answer, causing us to miss our train.
Overall, the cleanliness issues, how my brother was treated, the favoritism we saw at meals, and inconsistent communication made this stay stressful and upsetting.
