"Well there is a lot to unpack here, this is not a horrible hotel, I would consider staying here again as a matter of fact. Positives - the lobby looked clean and smelled clean, the staff was helpful when checking in we had to split our room payment because I was traveling with a friend and that was easy and simple. "Very good 4 night stay overall. Location is perfect and parking was wonderful. Check in was fast with courteous staff. The room was clean; however, a few outside patio lights were out and hindered staying out past dusk. Breakfast was above average with good variety. Beds weren't the most comfortable but were ok. Recommend putting microwaves in rooms that are in buildings away from the main building and ensure there are working ice machines in all buildings."

"It's super close to the different monuments. Gettysburg isn't a big town, but the places near Lincoln Square are still very crowded. This hotel is not in that area and therefore offers a quiet atmosphere while still being very walkable to all of the different places. It also offers a great complimentary breakfast. "We stayed in the Welty House section of the property. It was odd in that there was no parlor or common room to sit in. The room was ok. Nothing too special but it had an attached sitting room with more space & a large bathroom. Odd again was the balcony off the bathroom. "Great location and large room, downside was no staff on site; we needed to call to get someone from the next door diner to open the door. No welcome or further context. Also no staff when we checked out. Rooms are nice and spacious, the outdoors patio and garden are a great opportunity to relax in, but is current quite empty; if they would make this a bit more cosy and welcoming it would be a lot better."
