The cottages are in the middle of the most beautiful forest situated above a little lake. It's a very peaceful and harmonious place and visited by lots of animals.

This property has amazing scenery and had everything we needed, but the condition of the property was a big let down. There were many small items in need of repair or replacement. The carpets were badly stained, faded and worn almost bare. The bedroom smelled of mould. The water was brown which didn’t make the spa very welcoming. I wouldn’t return unless they underwent refurbishment.

Poor wifi connection, tv didn’t work in the room toilet wasn’t so clean, owners were nice but need lots of updating, paint peeling from the wall only best thing was full oven and cooktop.

Hi David. I'm sorry you had some issues during your stay. The wifi connection is slow as we are on satellite with limited data but it does allow for the basics. I wish you had contacted me about the tv as It was working prior to arrival. I could have fixed that for you. The paint issue near the floor outside the bathroom is an ongoing one due to a bit of moisture coming through the wall. Not an easy fix I'm afraid but as it is only a small patch we try to keep on top of it. I apologize if that was a problem for you. regards Sue

Nice setting and very quiet. Unfortunately we walked into our bathroom to find dried vomit underneath pedestal basin - and not a small amount! Clearly visible! As managers not on site we gloved up and cleaned ourselves. Not a good way to start. Tv did not work and knowing other people who have stayed, they said the same. No internet and dismal wifi. They are old and quaint chalets but it’s really time for some maintenance!

Sorry Karen. The cleaner must have missed underneath the pedestal. I have made sure that she checks there in future. We are on the block next door so you could have come to the office for cleaning and to check the TV. It was working but you had it on the TV channel not the satellite HDMI 1. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do about the wifi to that studio. The other cottages do get better coverage so if you are coming again request a cottage with wifi access. regards Sue

We had the normal cottage and it was good enough for a weekend away (2 adults - late 20's). It is right across the road from the waterfalls which was nice. You are however, attached by the bathroom walls to another cottage which I didnt mind at all. You dont get good/any phone reception down there and if you do it's only good for messaging and not entertainment. Which was refreshing and a good way to put the phones down and have fun with no interuptions. The cleanliness wasn't like a 5 star hotel but it was satisfactory. I was completely fine with that and loved the location of our cottage (1). The owners seemed nice from the 3 minute interaction we had with them. They did leave us alone for the whole stay and it was actually really nice to stay some where and it feel private and personal. The rooms kitchen worked perfectly and they had basic utensils, pan, pots, plates, bowls, cups - if you forget your own. The oven worked fine and was clean. The window was broken but its not the end of the world and I dont really find anything with a wuick fix until you can get jt fone properly in the future. The bed at first didn't seem promissing but give it a chance because I had a really good sleep and my lower lumbar spine wasn't hurting in a while. The locations is about 5/10 mins from town which was convenient.

Thanks for the in depth review Holly. It is really helpful for future guests. You're right about the window .It isn't actually broken but it is best not to open as the steel frame has warped and it is very difficult to close .Unfortunately the current situation with building supplies and contractors means it won't be a quick fix. A little cramped but quaint
The little unit had a queen bed, with table and chairs and little kitchenette. I did feel the need to wash utensils, plates etc. prior to use, not washed up totally well. Only a shower curtain in shower, and there was some black mould near tap of hand basin in bathroom. Nowhere to put toilet bag in bathroom nor cases in room. We ended up sitting them in front of TV. I felt it was a little expensive for what you got.

The chalets are in a fabulous area near a river with rapids. Very picturesque and quiet. The grounds are lovely. The chalets are unique studios with brick walls and high ceilings. Comfortable bed. Plenty of space for two.

Great Cottage stay
Cottage in quiet beautiful setting, water, bush land, native animals and birds all around. Close enough to the local town and many wineries. Comfortable beds - enough space for 6 people in the 2b/r cottage full sized fridge and cooking utensils dining table lounge/TV. Outdoor table. There is a laundry for guests and nice BBQ area. Great stay

A quaint studio set in a peppermint tree grove...could have sat there all day it was so beautiful...lots of lovely walks in the area...good well equipped kitchen, comfy bed, and oh so quiet...totally recommended.

Very small and cold cottage compared with other places in the same price bracket. Nice location, clean and easy to find. Comfy bed but bedding was odd - 3 flat sheets and a thin duvet with no cover. Not great for winter down south.

Sorry Kay if you were not happy with some things in the studio. There is reverse cycle aircon for heating so am surprised you were so cold but it was a particularly cold weekend unfortunately. Also there is a spare blanket in there, which we leave as separate to cater for different needs. The 3 sheet bedding is pretty standard these days as an alternative to 2 sheets and a cover. Not sure what price bracket you are comparing us to but I doubt they have the location and ambience.that we do.Hope you can make it some other time when it is warmer and perhaps try one of the bigger cottages? The whole setting was just unbelievable. The cottage was clean and comfortable and just so peacfull. The birds and animals could be fed and especially the little blue wrens were lovely to watch. I would definitely stay there again and again.

This is our second stay at Waterfall Cottages it was just beautiful and waking up to the noises from the waterfall was just amazing. Great for the kids too with all the kangaroos and birds that came to visit.

it is a diff kind of experience that i have, a good experience. is a very quit place but the little cottage provide a complete set of necessary thing. especially kitchen utility.

This is really a small studio, not a cottage as the property is very small i.e. no real storage space for things like your bags etc, a very small table and kitchenette and the bathroom is also very tight. The outdoor garden area is a nice setting.

Loved it. Super comfy bed, spacious, tranquil, and quiet. Location was central as well. A bit dusty but that was the only negative. Would stay again definitely.

We arrived a few hours earlier. ( check in was at 2pm but we arrived at 11am. The manager told us we were earlier but it the rooms were all available for us to occupy. Floors were scattered with dead bugs and the carpets were filthy. Told the manager about and she was happy to clean it. Went out that day and came back to a half cleaned place. Disgusting

This is an unfair review. As I explained to you, I do check all cottages before guests arrive as we live in the country and there are inevitably some dead bugs as the cottages are treated regularly for insects . When you turned up 3 hours early I could have told you to come back later but I thought I would do the right thing and let you check in. The carpets were certainly not filthy as you put it. A few minor stains perhaps.

Quiet surrounding great for some time away from the hussle and bussle.ively room but light curtins allowed too much daylight in no option to reduce light. Would have preferred a room looking over country side as appossed to driveway. Outdoor sitting area needs something more appealing to look at.

Even for two people the cottage was small with no hanging space apart from a hat rack. Any luggage you have basically gets in the way of the small living space. The bush setting is pleasant and the birds and amimals just outside the door make up for the basic room.

The perfect private getaway from it all
Such a beautiful place to getaway for a few days and so much privacy. Loved that the waterfall was just across the road and I could hear it rushing from my cottage and seeing the kangaroos up so close was amazing. Owners / managers were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!

In a lovely setting, not far from town.
Having kitchen facilities was a bonus. Everything worked. Nice owner. The only negative was a lack of storage space for clothes.

Thanks John. I know the lack of a wardrobe is an issue for some but we had to weigh it up against having the windows all around for the view. We hope that the wall rack, wall hooks and under tv cupboard are enough for most people. Regards Sue

Unfortunately we had to share the property with a bunch of Yahoos who stayed up drinking arguing and playing music until 4AM, both night we were there. The room also smelt like cat-pee which was not so pleasant.

So peaceful and relaxing
The 5 days we stayed here was brilliant, 5 mins from the Town Centre was perfect and not too far out to drive. One of the nicest places we have stayed out in the South West, highly recommend.
