Hotels near Mandovi River

"Mateus had charm for sure and it is in the extremely picturesque Fontainhas neighborhood. Lots of photos to take just strolling around the area. However, there are some downsides about the hotel itself. One is that it is one of the many places in India where they push two twin beds together to make a supposedly queen or king bed. This really did not work well in our room because one of the beds was really broken down and sagging. While the room and the building interior were interesting because...

"Slightly out of the way and not geared up for Western tourists. We were the only ones staying there. The room was OK but the balcony unfortunately overlooked a building site. There was no bucket (for soaking clothes) and the bathroom didn't have an extractor fan. The best thing was the breakfasts which we really enjoyed and here the service was much the best in the hotel."

"Very warm reception. Located a few minutes walk to the river where the casino boats are. Serves fantastic breakfast with a wide variety of choices. In-house restaurant was as good. Taxis available at the doorstep too. However the wifi was a bit erratic "
