"The house is really pretty and well kept, the food was good, the staff were polite and helpful. Unfortunately, none of that adds up to the sound of the raucous downstairs throbbing through our room constantly and at a decibel loud enough to be measured on the Richter scale until midnight…. I don’t have a problem with the club having a function and people having lots of fun- but maybe don’t sell the stay as a quaint and old-school relaxing retreat. "A beautiful cosy hotel, decorated so you feel like you have stepped back in time with friendly helpful staff and the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in. We loved our stay and our dinner at the restaurant."

"I had the top 2 bed cabin and there had clearly been a hole in the wall that had been patched but not painted. This is also clearly a place for workers and the worker next to me had really loud music throughout the night. Otherwise it was a lovely cabin with everything you could need. "

"Clean and spacious room. Parking was great right outside the room great for those with mobility constraints. Comfy bed and smart tv. Check in and out was easy and the staff were lovely."
