I gave the Shilo 4 Stars. It would have been 5 stars but the hallway on the second floor was surprisingly dismal (two large trash bins, missing roof tiles, mop buckets to catch ceiling water leaks, and non-electric room keys). The room itself, while a bit worn (especially in the bathroom tile and shower) was large and clean, very well furnished, the bed was comfortable, and provided a good night sleep. I did not take advantage of the included hot breakfast in the morning.

The property itself is old and falling apart like it’s on its last leg. The staff is polite and friendly. The Continental breakfast and free coffee is fair. Pet friendly.

In the hallway were holes in the ceiling with buckets underneath them, and the parking garage did not feel safe. The rooms were okay but we didn’t ever get that welcoming feeling.

The staff was nice. Room was comfortable. Pool was okay. Jacuzzi was broken. Breakfast was okay...free and quick on our way out to snowboard. Room size was good. For the price on a last minute stay this worked great for us. Quick drive to the mountain.

It’s old and dated, everything is a bit shabby. But it’s convenient, affordable, and has the basics covered. The staff were friendly and genuine, and the breakfast was good.

Staff was super friendly, but their setting was in some state of disrepair. Some work in our room and elsewhere was started but never completed. (If a wall patch is started, don’t start renting if you haven’t finished the sanding and repainting). Good sized rooms with plenty of space for our clothes and gear.

This hotel desperately needs to be remodeled. Pool and jacuzzi are disgusting and don’t work, shower didn’t work(water temp would go extremely hot to cold), towels were dirty and highly doubt were switched out from who stayed there previously, windows are so thin with no screen, proof or lock making it super noisy, complimentary breakfast was a joke (unsanitary, disgusting, inedible). Not staying here again and would highly NOT recommend.

The main reason I stay there is the great indoor steam room, sauna, large hot tub and very large heated pool. All are conveniently located right next to the nice lobby. But the pool heater hasn’t worked for 3 months. The steam room hasn’t worked for 2 years and when I got there the hot tub wasn’t working either. Then add to that they can’t seem to get the hot water in your shower to work right. It will just go cold right in the middle of your shower for 5 plus minutes while one in line heater switches to a second heater. It’s a good hotel otherwise with nice big rooms.

Location is good - walking distance to grocery store, two snowboard rentals, and also to free bus. Pool and dry sauna were not working, and the pool area in general needs a serious cleaning and maintenance. Breakfast items ran out, and no one seemed to be there to refill (milk is basic, I would say). Overall - if you're booking last minute during the busy season (which I did), you get stuck with the leftovers.

This should be a last option $69 room based on the condition of the hotel. The actual rate we had to pay was $400 - what a rip off! Patched unpainted hole in bathroom wall - lots of grout missing on bathroom tile floor. One of the emergency exits doors blocked by snow and ice. Old - tired - pool and hot tub shut down for repairs. Can buy a bottle of water on the premise. Purely survives based on supply and demand.

Not really one to write a bad review, but we were given our room key and we were getting ready to open the door and someone from inside opened the door. It was very weird and awkward. My husband had to go down and let the front desk know. They didn’t even know why someone was in that room. The room itself was very outdated. Then we were woken up at 7:30 am by the housekeeper trying to go in our room to clean it. Overall, it was not a fun stay

The Facility is run down the carpet was dirty the noise in the room and vibration was so bad we had to change rooms. The breakfast was not organized at all over $700 for two nights was tuff to swallow for this place

The staff was friendly. We stayed for 9 days and for two days the hotel skipped our cleaning service because of short staff, when we addressed the issue, the manager came and changed our linens and towels himself. So overall I would say good experience
