Silver Spur Motel
5/5 Excellent
"I've stayed here twice & enjoyed my stays both times.
This is a quaint, country style, older, motel. The recent owners are in the process of updating the rooms here - continuing to remodel, but, keeping it's down to earth feel. Employees I had the pleasure of speaking to, are nice.
My most recent stay was for three nights. Office staff employee, Marisa, was very helpful and accomodating. We spoke of several things that are available to take part in while staying here, around Burns. One thing that I did while here, was I went to Crane Hot Springs - which is 27 miles outside of Burns, going East on Hwy 78, towards the Town of Crane.
Housekeeping at Silver Spur did a very nice job of cleaning my room. Also, the air conditioner worked really well - which - in JULY - is CRITICAL! :D
It is quiet in the evening hours. Pe em respectful of each other's need of restBe informed, though, that if you are the type of folks looking for a modern/contemporary place to stay, this is not the motel for you. I, for one, love the charm that I found staying here, the relaxed atmosphere that is provided, having Safeway, and other stores within a couple of blocks from the motel and THE REASONABLE PRICE THAT I WAS CHARGED PER NIGHT. Honestly, coffee shops, restaurants, a couple of nice grassy parks are all within a short drive, or, walk from the Silver Spur. I see the Silver Spur as a local motel that has been a part of the Burns history for many, many years. It has seen alot of life, but,
