It was in a nice area not far from the beach. Good transport into Malaga. It seemed strange that only one teabag per person was placed in the room and no coffee was available.

The listing said they had an airport shuttle. When I contacted them to arrange this, they said to take a taxi. Since they’re on the other side of town, the taxi was expensive- both ways.

Difficult to communicate as we didnt speak much Spanish, but the staff was excellent and really made us feel welcome. A very short walk to the beach. Super clean. Good value for a simple stay. The road was busy, but was a good trade off that made it simple to use transit and taxi services. Overall was happy to stay there. Small and outside of the city of Malaga is what we were looking for. Thanks Hotel Elcano!!

We Loved the Cleanliness, It felt like Home. We loved the Decor and it was Ecofriendly very Good Vibes and Unique. We did not like the bathroom smell it was the sewage system bad smell. We had to burn inscence to neutralize smell. But all malaga sewage smelled bad. Its not hotels fault. Great Hotel and Affordable! The staff nice, helpful and informative Thank You!

Cute boutique hotel. Small rooms. Staff doesn't speak English at all. Pleasant and accommodating however when you make contact. Clean rooms. Bathroom door will strike the toilet. Hear all plumbing adjacent rooms. Bed small for us. Good heat and AC. Close to bus stop.

We used the hotel as an overnight stop before travelling to Malaga airport to fly home. Although this hotel is on the other side of Malaga, it is not difficult to reach the airport. The reception desk was open until 10.00. pm. But arrangements could be made for a later arrival. Many restaurants were open along the beach, so there was no trouble finding something to eat. Parking in the street was easy in November, not sure about earlier in the season. There is also a 24 hour car park nearby.

Great hotel
I enjoyed staying the Hotel Elcano. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is a short walk away from the waterfront, which includes beaches and a range of restaurants, cafes, and shops. Downtown Malaga is a accessible via either bus or taxi, but the local area was attractive and pleasant as well. The wifi was a little slow in my 2nd floor room, but worked better in the lobby area. Breakfast was a little on the light side but still enjoyable.

Cosy B+B in quiet area
Lovely B+B in nice quiet area with good local shops including local supermarkets and pharmacies. 5 minute walk to beach and easy to walk to the centre of Malaga. The local buses are also frequent and the stop is close the to the front of the B+B. Good breakfast and rooms very clean and comfortable. Would recommend for a quiet break.

Nice clean hotel conveniently placed.
Very welcoming and helpful staff. The hotel is very convenient for the beach bars and restaurants. Buses run every few minutes to Malaga city the bus stop is directly outside the hotel. It is on a busy main road but it didn't stop me sleeping!

Hotel cómodo, fácil de llegar. Llegamos por la tarde, nos dieron instrucciones muy claras de como acceder a la habitación y sin ningún problema. Teníamos que coger un vuelo temprano, nos fuimos el día antes y visitamos centro de Málaga. Hubo que coger el coche pero era lo que buscábamos y buena relación calidad -prercio

This hotel is close to a area with lots of restaurants and a walk to the beach only took 5 min. The busstop is 20 meters away. If you wan't to shop for groceries it takes 7 min to find a bigger shop, both east and west of the hotel. Only bad thing I could think of is that you hear a lot from the other rooms, noise. But other than that it's good.

Très bien
Petit hôtel proche de la plage mais un peu loin du centre ville 4kms.. L hôtel est simple mais avec tout le confort propre et le personnel est sympa... Il propose le Petit déjeuner en supplement mais abordable. 3 lignes de bus passe devant l hôtel pour aller en centre ville et en voiture autour de l hôtel les emplacements sont gratuits, payant en ville.

Chambre agréable et propre. Emplacement de l'hôtel pratique car le centre de Malaga est accessible en bus. On trouve la plage et plusieurs restaurants à proximité. On a pu se garer sans problème dans la rue. A améliorer selon moi : le petit déjeuner.

J'ai réservé par Expédia parce qu'il y a un moteur de recherche qui permet de réserver uniquement un hôtel organisant des transports à l'aéroport. L'Hotel Elcano est listé sur Expédia comme organisant des transports à l'aéroport. Il s'agit d'un mensonge. J'ai été très déçue: l'hôtel est loin de la ville de Malaga, dans la direction opposée à l'aéroport. Les frais de taxis ont été prohibitifs pour me rendre à l'hôtel à partir de la gare, puis à l'aéroport. Une très mauvaises expérience. Je ne crois plus faire affaire avec Expédia à l'avenir à cause de la fausse représentation.

Chers messieurs: Notre service de prise en charge à l'aéroport est organisé, logiquement.Le prix du taxi n'est pas si cher comparé à d'autres villes. Nous avons également un service de train vers le centre-ville (15 minutes) et le bus numéro 3 depuis la gare María Zambrano (Centro) juste à la porte de l'hôtel ELcano. Total 12 euros.Salutations.

Goed hotel voor stedentrip
Prima hotel met schone kamers en goede bedden. Het personeel praat nagenoeg geen Engels maar zijn wel vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is heel minimaal Maar wel voldoende. De bus naar het centrum stopt voor de deur. En ook de taxi van en naar het vliegtuig was prima geregeld.

El hotel parece muy familiar, llegué sobre las 12:30 y la habitación no estaba preparada, y hasta la tarde no lo estaría. Al menos me guardaron la maleta. No dispone de restaurante para comidas o cenas, desayuno por 5€ creo recordar pero no sé en que consistirá porque no tiene cocina. La habitación correcta en tamaño, aire acondicionado/calefacción en buen estado. Está cerca de la playa, por lo que intuyo que en verano se agradecerá. El baño algo antiguo e incómodo el wc, y solo tienen los típicos sobres de champú y gel y una pastilla de jabón. La cama es extremadamente cómoda, sin duda lo mejor del hotel. Está bien situado, cerca de la playa. no tiene parking, pero por la zona de noche se aparca fácil, durante el día hay un parking cercano privado de tierra, no cubierto. Para comer por la zona en el paseo de la playa.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel in coppia. Al check in il personale è stato molto gentile, i problemi sono iniziati non appena siamo entrati in stanza. La prima cosa che colpisce è uno strano odore spiacevole. Decidiamo di arieggiare ma l’odore persiste e sembra derivare da mobili e letto. Non appena alziamo le coperte ci accorgiamo di qualche pelo (ovviamente non nostro) e qualche macchia anche sul copriletto. Quando chiediamo che ci vengano cambiate (qualche giorno dopo purtroppo) ci viene risposto che peli e macchie erano nostri. La testiera del letto era sporca di qualche sostanza polverosa e bianca. Il bagno è pulito ma dopo che viene usata l’acqua (doccia o lavandino) viene invaso da uno strano odore che non se ne va neanche tenendo la finestra aperta tutto il giorno. Altro problema è stato il Wi-Fi che non arrivava nella nostra stanza. La camera è dotata di tv (canali spagnoli), riscaldamento ben funzionante e scrivania, peccato per la pulizia e l’odore (probabilmente connessi). Il bagno è piccolo ma con una doccia spaziosa. Il personale è stato molto gentile anche al momento del check out (pur non parlando ne inglese ne italiano), organizzandoci il ritorno in areoporto con un taxi la sera prima della nostra partenza. La posizione dell’hotel è ottima: spiaggia a pochi passi e centro facilmente raggiungibile con autobus (fermata di fronte all’hotel) o a piedi con poco più di un’ora di camminata costeggiando il lungo mare. Peccato per pulizia e Wi-Fi inesistenti.
