Booked this hotel via hotels.com. Travel from KL to Segamat and back to Melaka for a night stay. Booked 2 rooms. Checkin was slow. Front desk managed by 1person. He took up 3 calls for room enquiries during my checkin. Went up the room and found one of the room keycard does not allowed to access. Went down to reception and the keycard was reprogram. Still the keycard does not work and finally the front desk went up to the room together. Inserting the keycard managed to open the door, suddenly heard vrooming sound from some fan. Unpleasant checkin. Given another room it was ok but later found a 4ft cracked on the mirror was not rectified. On another room, we flip over the bed lining/deco found a big burnt hole underneath. Then later found bath towel and floor mat is not at its place. Made a complaint to their management and their reply was "its agreed the hotel fault but customer also have to understand it is peak period, so many things may have went wrong". However, one thing I am very sure is the room rate has alao went up during peak period. Decide to stay or not is up to you..but for me is NEVER EVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

It was good stay i can say, room size is too small compare to what we see in pics. Air conditioner was perfect, breakfast can be improved. No refrigerator in room. WiFi very poor. Overall average stay.

Nice but noisy
This was a little bit out of the way but still not far at all. There were a lot of coach tours and they were very noisy from around 6am. Overall stay was fine but noisy.

This is a new hotel so it came as a surprise when I experienced 2 power trips on the second night of my stay. Hotel should get this sorted out. Location wise, it is just about 10 minutes' walk to the shopping centres, which is great!

Needs improvement
Staff checked me in to a room that still staying by others. End up told me it was the staff's mistake during check in progress. Each room only provide one card. The washroom is dirty.

Power Tripped 4/5 times a night!
We checked-in at about 1.30am, upon arrival the hotel lobby door was locked(Maybe is for security reason). After check-in, the first power tripped happen about 230am. When call to operator, they manage to solved it quickly. We thought it was fine since they fixed it. Somemore is already late night. Then the second blackout happen again at 730am. When call to operator, they ask us to wait till the technician report to work which is after 1 hour later. We was staying at the humid room with the infant. The technician told us not to use any plug at room, it might due some of the plug failure that causing the power tripped. Even we stop using all the plug, it still happen for 3rd and 4th times. Imaging, we are showering half way with cold water in the morning. Upon check out, we were asking whether could have some discount of the room rate as a compensation. The receptionist said we didnt request to change room. Thus no discount allowed. What a terrible experience, if we could predict it will happen so many times, we will not even book this hotel at the first place.

The hotel wireless wifi was down when check in and the door lock hatch was damage and the interior bed sheet had blood stamp and lastly air con not cold had to set at 16oC. Cleanliness is so bad.

Pleasant stay.
Was given the top floor with great city and ocean view. This made up for the messed up booking when double bed was booked but was given twin bed due to "late and overwhelming demand" as claimed by the front desk. Room was neat with modern layout and furniture. Bathroom was installed with rain-shower fitting, nice touch. Overall good experience with the hotel stay.

Walking distance to mall area.
Walking distance to mall. Parking area not very big. But still okay. Issue only 1 key. Troublesome if you need to leave the key in the room for the family. Will need to get the staff to "unlock" the lift every time you need to go back to the room. Cleanliness is good. Sound proof not very good. Nearby got a number of massage center if you need a good massage. Breakfast without egg cooking cart. Food at breakfast is normal.

We check in on sat and be informed that wifi is down and will be up again on Sunday. I ask again in Sunday, the hotel staff said sorry, wifi still cannot use but will have special arrangement for me to use wifi in room. Unfortunately never make it for me. My parents was so upset as no wifi to use.

Clean and comfortable!
Clean, comfortable, toilet nicely renovated, pillows and bedsheets cosy, nothing more to ask for a hotel this price. The only drawback is no fridge, which is fine too. Overall, great stay!

Upon check in , was told buffet breakfast , which come with our room booking, is not available because Chef was sick. However. Hotel did prepare good breakfast for my family. Location is 10 min walk to Mahkotar Mall (one of the largest Mall) n 20min walk to Jonker Street. Staff was v friendly n helpful. Saw that guests were mainly Malaysians (Malaysian cars n spoke with Malaysian accent). TV has only about 5 local channels.

Decent hotel at a good price
Clean rooms, 10 minutes walk away from main tourist areas, 7-Eleven right behind, many notable restaurants nearby, decent breakfast (went during the low season so we had Ala Carte buffet instead of the usual buffet), no toothbrush provided, decent staff and service (room service did not even take the money I left on the counter)

Great service!
The room had some mold on the wall and the shower cabin was showing some signs of mold as well on the corners. We booked a room with queen size bed, but due to weekend we got two seperate beds, but the next day was Monday and we got another room with a queen size bed. Well done!

One night stay
Check in at 4pm. The lobby is clean and spacious. I like the room very much. Because it has a small walkway in. So as to create a bit of privacy. Do take note that toothbrush not provided. The aircon leaked so I placed a plastic container to collect the water. Surrouding is full of restaurants. So don't worry about hungry. But its quite far away from the tourist attractions. 20min to drive.

Good location, and great room for the price.
We stayed at Mid City at the start of December 2015. We had booked a family room (2 queen beds), and we were quite happy with the hotel,considering its price. Breakfast was included as well which made it easier for us. The hotel is in a good location about 10 minutes walk to a large shopping mall. It is only a little further along and you also come to Jonker Night Walk. Would happily stay here again.

Not going back.
Probably will not return again. Bin in the room was not cleared upon checkin. Debris in the toilet bowl. Wifi was really bad. Requested for toilet paper and never arrived. Requested for extra pillow and was charged RM5 upon checkout. Was not told that there was a charge when I made a request. Doubt I will go back, given that there are so many other hotels in that vicinity. Bfast spread was bad too.
