"Avoid this place. Check-in was difficult in the dingy reception, which looked like a dump, as the elderly lady had no idea I was coming. Finally she understood, but asked if I had already paid, which I had.Room was up 4 flights of stairs. Big room but walls covered in dark wood, only one small window, very dingy.Bed was lumpy, shower good & hot, only one plug socket away from the kettle,light switches on the other side of the room from the bed. "I had the room at the front of the building. The room was spacious, with two huge windows, so plenty of light. The view is good at eye level and above. It was well decorated and pleasant. On the down side, it overlooks the main road so is rather noisy. During the day, it's a continuous drone, so it fades into the background. At night, earplugs! These are kindly provided. Be aware, the other rooms face onto a wall."

"Loving the simple esthetics and the rooms are quite clean. With ocean right across. The location is very close to the airport, but a bit further to the main attractions, though easy to get to with a car ride. Overall great experience with my family."

"We stayed at Le Meridien as a group of 6, 5 Adults and one 8 year old for a week (one adult stayed 4 nights). We all really enjoyed our stay. The resort is large, clean, well maintained, with good amenities. Breakfast has a wide choice and wasn't overly busy. The hotel is a little out of the way, but 10-15 mins in a taxi gets you into Karen, Kata or Patong. The only slight negative was that we were given 3 rooms, weren't told which was which was allocated to who and this caused some challenges with charging food/drinks to the rooms, also with the early checkout. In theory this should have been easy to rectify but it never did happen. However, it didn't affect the quality of our stay or the enjoyment of it."

"After a disastrous 25-hour flight delay, arriving at Anantara Mai Khao was the perfect remedy for our family of four. The moment we arrived, Oxii and the staff treated us with warm, authentic Thai hospitality—exactly the welcome we needed. The resort is stunning and expansive, yet getting around is effortless with the convenient buggies. The picturesque landscaping and architecture make every view Instagram-worthy - it’s easy to see why it features in The White Lotus season three. There is a wealth of activities available, from pools, tennis, teen club, yoga, and kickboxing to a gym and spa treatments. We also loved our ATV and James Bond Island excursions. Located in a quiet area near the airport, it’s about 45 minutes from the busy Old Town—perfect for families seeking pure serenity. Just across the road, Turtle Village offers local shops, a 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and Burger King for familiar comforts. Dining is exceptional. Breakfast features high-quality, healthy, locally sourced options. For dinner, Sea Fire Salt serves incredible BBQ fish and steak with a beautiful sunset view. I highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting deep relaxation, excellent food, and beautiful beaches. Anantara Mai Khao is the nearest thing to perfect!"
