We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the venue - Excellent service and care by the whole Fountain team - especially Snigdha. From start to end it was a fantastic, personalised experience for us and our kids. We will be staying here every time we visit Mahabaleshwar, for sure.

Enjoyable holiday

Went to Fountain Hotel with my family for a short holiday.Location is fantastic, as it is close to the main market area, yet has a quiet surrounding and super view. Food was excellent, though being a vegetarian fare. Enjoyed the warm hospitality of the staff.Overall experience was very satisfying.

Spacious and Comfortable Hotel

We have been going to The Fountain for many years now.. since we were kids and love the service, food and location of this hotel. It is spacious and clean and ideal for a family. The only thing I would like them to improve is to make hot water available 24x7 in the bathrooms and provide Wifi connectivity.

Excellent Hotel wot great staff. food was awesome. The only negative was we are lunch outside at 2pm, and we passed our table twice, at 5pm and 6pm, and we noticed that it had not been cleaned. Even the bow that my pet had used was not washed till evening.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Fountain Mahabaleshwar! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel special with their fantastic service and always-smiling faces. A big thanks to Tanulima and Manisha for their warm hospitality, and to Mahendra from the restaurant team who went above and beyond—he not only checked on us but also served food options that weren’t part of the buffet. The property itself is beautifully designed with good architecture and a perfect location that makes it very convenient for exploring Mahabaleshwar. The entire place is spotlessly clean, and the facilities are excellent—especially for kids, with plenty of fun games and activities to keep them entertained. Dining was another highlight—breakfast and meals had a wide variety of delicious options, and the staff ensured everything was perfect. Room service was lightning fast, and the valet and parking were seamless, making the stay stress-free. What stood out the most was the politeness and ever-smiling nature of the entire staff, which truly made our experience memorable. If I were to suggest one small improvement, it would be to add more non-vegetarian options to the menu. Overall, a perfect family getaway and an experience we’d love to repeat. Highly recommended!

Hotel location, facilities and food is big plus. Room size and comfort is fine. However; room service is worst seen recently. No change of towels/bedsheets for 3 days stay - even after request. Nothing proactive - had to call every time for water, tea-bags etc. Declined to serve food in the room for elderly sick parents even if its available as per room menu card.

Could be Better

I stayed here for a week in winter. The food was good, and the staff was hospitable, but I have several complaints, though nothing major. The room I stayed in (annexe with sit-out) was not heated, which I suppose is not a problem in summer, but made it miserable in winter once the sun had set. I was there for business, but there was no satisfactory table to write or type on - the only table in the room was too low to work comfortably. The hot water is available only for four hours a day, which is rather inconvenient. And there was no internet access.
