Beautiful chateau

This is a fabulous Chataeu 10 minutes from Bayeux. It is safe, quiet, comfortable and full of charm. If you want a true French countryside experience stay here. The property is ideal for couples and Families with children.

A very spacious, well-equipped and comfortable apartment. The host was quite friendly and accommodated our late arrival. We wished that we could have spent more time there.

There was no one at the property. We paid in full in January and there was no one at the property. We drove to the nearest village and happened to see a woman outside and we asked if she knew anything about the property. She did not but called a friend in another village who had an apartment for spending the night. We drove over to that property and stayed in the most beautiful wonderful farmhouse there. They spoke limited English but we managed. I would not book here again at this property.

Cannot argue the place is stunning, but arrived there and the host was very rude stating Expedia had only booked for 2 adults even after i showed the booking in French from La ferme de la Gronde that it was 2 adults and 2 kids. After 2 hrs of debate and now at 8pm in the evening we were offered the old dining room and a 3rd floor bedroom not the room we booked. Then found out that breakfast wasn't available which was on the original booking. The lady said she didnt understand me only spoke French so was wasting my time trying to sort it out. Although the property was stunning the problems at the start really spoiled the stay as i booked rhe garden view superior room and ended up with patched up accomodation.

Such a good find!

This was our favorite place we stayed on our 3 week trip. The farm is beautiful! The accommodations are wonderful - beds were very comfortable, the space is clean and roomy. It’s close to several towns so it’s easy to find places to eat or tourism sites. We absolutely loved staying here!

Ikke helt tilfreds

Meget smukke bygninger og autentiske værelser. Rent og pænt. Dog var vi ikke helt tilfredse med servicen. Hotellet tilbyder kun morgenmad og den var fin nok. Men det blev kun tilbudt mellem 0830 og 0930, og der var ikke borde nok til at alle gæster kunne spise. Det vil sige at man kunne gå tilbage til værelset og vente og lytte sig til om der var fri bane. Og så er en time ikke meget. Der var ingen information om nærområdet, forslag til spisesteder eller anden info. Wifi på værelset virkede kun ganske lidt og hoppede på og af. Mest af! Der var ingen info om hvordan man koblede sig på, og vi fik efter flere henvendelser at vide, at vi kunne finde en kode bag på wifi stikket. Så selvom jeg har valgt smiley, var der også en del der trækker ned.

Perfect place to visit Normandy sites.

What a wonderful find! Stayed 2 nights while visiting the Normandy beaches at this beautiful former farm from the early 1800s. The house is filed with antiques, vintage dolls, and rooms are decorated with French furnishings. Location is very quiet, clean, plenty of parking and gained a better sense of this rural part of France. Our breakfast was delicious and would stay here again--way exceeds a chain hotel!!

Beautiful location and facility. A few minor issue

This is really a beautiful location. It is a restored farm house and picture-perfect. It's convenient if you have a car to visit the Normandy battlefields (and beaches), and there are plenty of restaurants/services within a 10-20 minute drive. My only gripes are somewhat minor. We left the windows open at night to sleep, in part because they do the European-style heavy duvet rather than a top sheet and I awoke to a bunch of mosquito bites in the middle of the night. Also, there was wi-fi, but a password was required to use it in our rooms. It worked fine in the breakfast room. The staff person didn't seem to understand this. The breakfast itself was really good.

Close to Bayeux in a quiet location. The B&B is comfortable with an excellent breakfast. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this as good value for money. Our room was a bit on the small side for 4 nights, and the shower wasn't great hence a 4 rather than 5 review.

Charming and friendly B&B. Gracious host.

Perfect place from where to explore Normandy. Very close to Bayeux and all the sights. We woke to beautiful views of the farm, the flowers and the birds. Delicious breakfasts prepared by charming and friendly host. Enjoyed our 6 night stay and looking forward to returning.
