"Granted the location is not conducive to walking outside of the guarded perimeter, but inside you can stroll through the orchid gardens and admire the carefully groomed landscaping. The staff are very friendly and our happy to help and answer questions. "We enjoyed our stay at the Madang Resort. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable, and the water views and swimming pool were delightful. The dive shop also had helpful, professional staff and the snorkeling and diving was excellent. We would gladly stay again."

"Started off badly with a failure by the hotel to pick me up at the Madang airport and then no-one at reception to answer the phone when I tried to let them know I was waiting. Eventually got a lift to the hotel with a local who took pity on me. Gate security is good at the hotel, but it's not located in a good part of town, so just stay inside the grounds unless you have a car. Check-in process was easy and staff were all friendly.
