We had a lovely stay. 6ft Bed (2 single 3ft together): Extremely comfortable. Fantastic as weather was so hot. Staff were so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was great. We would highly recommend this hotel. Great location for exploring Connemara.
We recently stayed at the Peacocks Hotel in Maam Cross. The staff were lovely, helpful, efficient, we had 2 rooms they were clean and very comfortable. Any extra towels we needed were always available. The food was delicious and very well priced. Social distancing was excellent. The open fire just amazing. I wud recommend a stay at the Peacocks Hotel.
Nervous about the trip as this was our 1st trip since lock down. We expected to spend alot of time in the room but it was relatively quiet and the place is large so social distancing was not an issue. The food is fantastic for the dinner menu. Breakfast is not buffet and it is a restricted menu. Overall we really enjoyed our short break.
Things to know before you go
1.COVID guidelines were being observed.
2.There was no cleaning of the room over the weekend as hotel staff cannot enter the room while you are checked in. We just got replacement towels from house keeping while they were in the corridor.
3. One way system in place in public areas. This is not an issue but it does mean that you go out side under a porch and back in when you use the bathroom facilities down stairs.
4. Check in is a very quick, signature and key pick up only. Screens and hand sanitizer in place.
5. There are roadworks taking place outside the hotel so this is noisy when they are starting up between 7 and 7.30 in the morning.
6.To access the hotel from Galway pass through the traffic lights. There is a junction just at the filling station which allows access to the back carpark. The doors at the front carpark are not in use so the oneway system can be enforced when entering / leaving the hotel.

Breakfast relay race
Nice place, although dated but my biggest gripe was the rigmarole involved in getting breakfast. It was like a relay race and no one seemed to know what they were doing. This should be massively simplified and you’d be on to a real winner.
All staff we encountered in multiple stays we excellent being both personable and professional. The food was consistently excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. There is a lovely atmosphere around the hotel generally and it represents fantastic value for money. Will definitely stay again
Staff are helpful and room is clean. Breakfast and dinner are all good plus good location around connamara and tower view in the hotel . Value for money and will be back !
this was our second time staying there and it was just as good as the first time the staff were both helpful and friendly we ate one night and the dinner was really good i would recommend this hotel and look forward to going there again
The towels are so soft! There is a great viewing tower as the hotel is surrounded by National Parkland and the bird feeder out the front is cool. Lots of parking available, rooms are very spacious and the staff are lovely.
