Very central and walkable to explore the beautiful city of Lyon! Front desk people we’re mildly unfriendly which is why I couldn’t give 5 stars but a very satisfactory stay for someone(s) looking for a semi affordable spot to explore the city for a couple days !

This is a decent economy hotel. The rooms are very small, so if you're stuck in your room due to, say, weather conditions, it might not be so pleasant, but they are suitable for simply sleeping. Nice adjacent restaurant. Best cheese I ever had, actually.

The hotel is very modest with a tiny table and stool instead of small desk and chair. It would have been acceptable if not for the lack of air conditioning. It is my fault for not catching this. With 98 degree F summer temperatures, this is unacceptable for a conference hotel. To their credit, the staff provided an extra fan besides the ceiling fan that was directed up.

Lovely hotel in a great location
Lovely hotel, staff were friendly and helpful. Room was small but clean. It was perfect for a city break as we didn't spend a lot of time in the room. The only cons were that it was a little noisy at times and the bathroom door wasn't great (sliding door on a runner which has gaps on either side, so not ideal if ypu need or want full privacy but it was ok for us). The location was perfect, we were able to get the Rhomexpress and metro from the airport to the hotel. From the Metro station it was ashort walk. We walked to all the sights, it was easy to get around. All in all I think the hotel was great and would recommend it to others.

The staff was exceptional and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here as it was centrally located and had everything we could possibly need. Rooms were well decorated with huge windows. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Lyon!!

Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, quick check in and good location. Elevator had some issues at times though, and it doesn’t go up to the 4th floor.

It was very loud during my stay, I heard every footstep and conversation from the rooms next to me- it was hard to sleep. This is the first hotel where I stayed that leaves earplugs in the room! Breakfast was disappointing, machine-brewed coffee, old fruit, and stale croissants. No lotion or other toiletries provided. I would never stay here again and don’t believe it’s worth the cost

Pleasant hotel in a quiet neighbourhood
The hotel was about a 25 minute walk from the Gare de Lyon Part-Dieu. The neighbourhood was quiet and clean and a block away from a busier shopping and dining area. The front desk staff were friendly and the room was small, but clean. The hotel appeared to have been renovated in the last few years, but the lobby and stairs were starting to look a bit worn and shabby. The shower in my room had good water pressure, but no shower curtain or door and no matter how I positioned myself, water went everywhere! Both mornings I soaked my towels drying up the water that had sprayed all over the floor. The bed was comfortable. No safe, kettle, or coffee in the room. Complimentary earplugs were provided, which I appreciated because I could hear the people in the rooms next door. I would recommend this hotel for the traveller on a bit of a tighter budget who just needs a clean, safe, and private place to sleep.

The single 'basic' room was at the lower end of the basic scale. I refused to stay in it and was moved to another room which was better but only just. The only plus is the convenient position of the hotel for the principal sights of Lyon.

We had an awesome time in Lyon specially in this hotel quite close proximity on attractions and the staff were amazing giving us tips where to go and what to avoid during our stay .

The single room was small, but that is to expected from room description. Hotel could need some refurbishing. It is in a humble building with character. In quiet area of city and very close to metro to enjoy Lyon. The staff was extremely helpful from check in to check out.

Delighted stay
A really lovely stay. I traveled by bus to Lyon and the hotel is is a 5stop metro ride then a 3 min walk. Very simple and easy. The staff are so very nice, speak great English and are super helpful. I had a very comfortable 4-day/ 3-night’s stay!

Pleasant budget hotel for overnight stay
A one-night stay for an interview to become a naturalised French citizen! Walkable (just about) from the station, and to the Lyon Préfecture, conveniently close to the Foch metro station with direct transit to the bus station. Front-desk staff encountered were 1) efficient but cool and 2) friendly and efficient. Small room comfortable enough but had to sit sideways on the WC because there was not enough knee-room! Good Wifi. BBC World channel did not work.

Comfortable and quite central
I had a room on the smaller side with a delightfully clean bathroom. The bed was comfy, there was a lot of storage space and the view out the window was charming and relaxing. The room was often hot to return to after a day out as there was no air conditioning - just a negotiation between the ceiling fan and the breeze outside. I would definitely recommend Hôtel Taggât for short city visits.

The room was really small. There was no AC so with 33 degrees Celsius it wasnt too comfortable. But the price was very low.

Their description mentioned they don't have AC but they do have a fan. But their rooms didn't even have fans. It is summer time and super hot. It was a very uncomfortable stay. We arrived late night so didn't even have the option to change hotels!

low head room in the roof units.
unfortunately we would love to know that economical room means lower head room in the bedroom. im only 5'3" and found it easy to bump my head when trying to get to the bed. Service was excellent and bathroom size was good.

friendly staff, good internet, a mile from the train depot and there is a green (bio/organic) grocery store across the street with a good selection organic produce and gluten free items. It was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in but for the price no complaints.

Clean & Comfortable Hotel within Foch Station.
Hotel was within 5mins walk from Foch Station. Counter staff were very friendly and they offered certain form of security by locking the front door upon dark. Stairs leading to room was slightly narrow and steep. Room was very spacious with ceiling fan and nice bathroom. There were ample space to place things and it comes with good wifi. Area do not have much eateries but convenience store was just opposite. 10mins to Lyon Centre just across the bridge. Recommended for business stay and requires accessibility to train.

Séjour convenable. Déco sympa. Les murets sont en papier. On profite bien des voisins et des bruits de couloir. La mise à disposition de bouchons d'oreilles dans la chambre est surprenante mais au final très utile.

Chambre insalubre Mur avec un trou , peinture écaillée sur l’ensemble de la chambre , radiateur mural non fixé sur le bas risquant de basculer , poignée de porte restant dans les mains quand on ouvre la fenêtre, prises électriques qui ne fonctionnent pas. Nous ne recommandons pas cet hôtel.
