4 Mar 2020Luxor is a developing town/city where you can get harassed by the locals & businesses who are always attempting to force a sale. I wouldn't stay here again but do think its t perfect location to begin your adventure into the history of ancient Egypt.

21 Feb 2020Always check the price of taxi and Kalesh rides first. Agree that you are paying in Egyptian Pounds. Expect the unexpected and always carry lots of small change because no one ever seems to have any.

28 Jan 2020Luxor is amazing for the sheer quantity of ancient monuments. There is, however, far too much group tourism which leads to overcrowding at some popular sites. This is a place to do as an independent traveller. Many of the hotels seem to be run down.
