This is my fifth visit here. It’s a charming boutique hotel with a nice pool and fantastic staff. There’s a small restaurant across the street, also close to the historic district and its morning and night markets.

The staff is attentive and gracious. The upstairs room with balcony, very nice though the room often needed better sweeping. My impression is many people come for the weekend —washing and hanging clothes everywhere and couples with screaming children who take over the pool. Otherwise it’s a very lovely spot, great location.

A great place to stay in Luang Prabang

The whole resort in simply stunning, the swimming pool is big and in good condition. The room was very nice too and the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s close to many attractions and services etc. Its great hotels like this one that makes Luang Prabang a nice place to stay.

Location and pool

This was one of the best places we stayed while in laos. Room were large, clean and comfortable. The pool was amazing as were the staff. Location fantastic, overall would highly recommend staying here

Sunrise is a nice little sanctuary of a property not far from the evening market. The hotel grounds are well kept and cute. Great pool area, although the pool runs very cold. The rooms were perfect--charming, clean and roomy. The staff are very warm and helpful.

Stated for 2 nights. Pros: Service was exceptional-special thanks to James at rest of staff. Good location too - very central. The room was very comfortable. Cons: Being a vegetarian i felt the breakfast wasnt great. Quite noisy as i could hear Cockerells from 4am but that cant be helped. It is a busy period in Luang Prabang so all hotel's are bumping up the price - despite this, i didnt think £120/night was worth it all.

Property is well located and clean. It had 2 major downsides for me. These days we travel with a fair bit of technology that needs charging and our room had only 2 power points. Even worse, there was no power point that accepted a 3 pin plug which is needed to charge a laptop. Breakfast is not included in the room tariff but is available. I found that the eggs and bacon was cold every morning. Not very appealing.

Luang Prabang near the Mekong

Balcony room overlooking garden was just lovely. Bed was the best we'd had on our Asian trip. Safe & small fridge in room & daily housekeeping with usual toothpaste, toothbrushes & shower caps left in bathroom. Great pressure & very hot water in bathroom. No bath, but shower was quite big. They are doing renovations there now, May 2025. Spray from paint spray gun was very overpowering whilst in pool one day. Otherwise, it was a very peaceful, quiet place to stay. Nice big pool was lovely & very clean. Lots of sun loungers with umbrellas & towels all laid out ready for use. Breakfast was good, great selection, especially the fruit. Cleanliness was a priority, they were sweeping, mopping, gardening, doing general maintenance every day. Garden was just lovely. Nice & close to Mekong river, with eateries in one direction & night markets & cafes the other. Side of road stalls everywhere. The lady across road has great food & guy down a couple of doors has cold beers, etc & ice. Also there was a lady across road who did our laundry for $30,000 kip per kg.. great service.
