This hotel is closed. I booked on Expedia. Went to the hotel on 14 July to check-in. The gates were locked. The rooms were padlocked & a woman yelled at me from a window "closed" I then had to find other accommodation carrying a backpack in terrible heat. After being turned away from 3 other hotels I finally found other accommodation. The owner told me that Lakhanthong Hotel has been closed for nearly 3 years & yet it is still advertising on Agoda & Expedia. Expedia has been advised of this as I spent an hour on chat trying to get a refund as I had paid Expedia for the night at Lakhanthong Hotel & to have the property removed from the site. It still appears on other booking sites as do many other hotels in Luang Prabang that are closed. In the last 5 days I have had to move hotels 3 times because hotels in Luang Prabang are either not booking the correct rooms or overbooking & trying to send guests to other hotels run by family members. They then claim that the guest was a no-show & collect the cancellation fee. Expedia needs to do an audit of all the hotels they have listed in Luang Prabang. I have spent my entire holiday packing & unpacking my bag and running between hotels. I have spoken to other foreigners that are experiencing the same.

Charming peaceful place to stsy
Great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle. Breakfast is freshly made to order and is lovely. No kettle in the room but they will give you tea and coffee whenever you want it. Very helpful reception staff. Only issue was that the drainage channel outside the property which was a bit messy but that will soon be sorted

We loved this place and the service was excellent. The location is good (try 525 restaurant right next door) and quiet. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and kind!

Good People Good hotel and Good Service
The boutique are nice and solid wood design inside out. Location not far from old city and 10-15 walking to the night market. Mr. Minh is really helpful and he is so nice to us during our stay. Breakfast serve to your door and you can enjoyed it at your veranda. Order are not limited. They do provide bicycle and you can take it to go round the city

Great place to stay
We had a great time at this hotel. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the hotel itself was beautiful. Get the banana pancake at breakfast - it’ll change your life.

A little gem.
Would definitely stay here again. From the free shuttle service from and to the airport to the worlds largest omelette for breakfast and friendly staff this place will take some beating. A 15 minute walk to the night market and set in a quiet location it was ideal for us. Thanks to all of you for making this a memorable part of our holiday.

Great staff!

Great boutique hotel and value for money
I really satisfied with this traditional wooden hotel. Paid small amount of money and enjoyed free airport pick up service, free delicious and rich breakfast, free bicycle during the stay and free flow of coffee or tea any time. Never have this experience before. If you like stylish restaurant Mandas de Laos and cool bar 525, they are just next door Thank you Minh, Micheal and all the stuffs for your great service! Fantastic work!

The hotel is located close to the Main Street. The staff were friendly and breakfast was good. The rooms are a bit small and oddly dark but the wooden furniture is nice. The bathroom has an odd set up, there's a bathtub with a shower head but no shower curtain so the floor got very wet.

Delightful Hotel
We enjoyed our stay here and actually extended by another day. Fantastic staff even tho English a bit of a problem but then we are used to that with travelling. Would prefer a kettle in the room rather than having to ask staff everytime you want to have a cup of tea or coffee. They were always very quick to bring it to you when you asked but i just went without a lot rather than bother them. I bring my own coffee with me so just needed a cup of hot water for it and didn't like to ask too many times during the day so opted to go without apart from breakfast and maybe one at night.

Full of bed bugs!! no backup generator!
I stayed one night and was eaten alive by bed bugs in room 14--i mean hundreds of bites all over me. Michael apologised, but didn't do much else and disappeared after I told him. also, power knocked out BC of storm and no candles, torches, or back up anything. so all night with no ac, no electricity, no running water, and no internet. miserable. not worth it BC heaps of places in town for same price or less.

Small, friendly, value.
This is a good little hotel with appropriate value for money and a staff that works super hard to make everything right for you. Good breakfasts and free coffee/tea anytime. Very helpful with travel arrangements as well. Walking distance to centre of town and the excellent night market, but the free bikes (in good condition) really save the day and provide you with a way both into and out of the city.

Ideal oasis for a Luang Prabang trip
The hotel room is large and spacious, and the owner will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The breakfast is also extremely tasty, and is a nice bonus to the hotel. Though the location is a little bit further from the sights of the city, the free bike rental puts all of the city 5-10 minutes away. A great hotel - would highly recommend, and would stay here again!

I really liked this place, especially the accomodating staff, and the fantastic breakfast served everyday. Even the coffee was of good quality. The breakfast selection is wide, and I really recommend the local breakfasts over the western ones. The room was spacious enough, and there was even an in-house safe. They provide free bicycles and they arrange affordable transfers to the waterfalls. The welcome drink provided was also delicious (coconut shake I think). All i n all I will stay here again if Im ever in Luang Prabang.

BeautifulHotel building is constructed in Wood and this is reflected in rooms.unfortunately there are wood walls between rooms so one night was forced to listed to soaps till midnight curtesy of next door and the next night a couple having a row till one oclock. Film festival was on and as a solo female i hated thewalk back through dark roads to hotel at night.so combination of dark roads and noise made me move to another hotel.also keys are left lying on recption bar outside with no staff around some times when I went to get myroom key.keysbhave room numberon them so didn't think this was safe. On the p!us side,staff were helpful and breakfast was wonderful.balcony outside room was great to read And to have breakfast on

Great place to stay and the staff could not be more helpful , they hired us mopeds and let us know where everything was in the town and surrounding area . Four poster bed in a lovely wooden room with cable and fridge supplied . Great value

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay at the Lakhangthon Boutique Hotel. Our family of 4 had two large rooms on the second floor. The hotel staff went above and beyond for us, helping with tracking down a parcel shipped from a Japan, to tours and transportation to Vientiane - they are incredibly hard working. Michael Dong the manager was prompt in personally responding to all my emails. The fresh made to order breakfast served out on the balcony was a morning treat. The spotless rooms are large with hardwood flooring and wood accents. Some limited construction noise during the day and roosters crowing which are a staple in Luang Prabang. We found this boutique hotel great value and would highly recommend.

Nice Boutique Hotel to escape the busy urban life.
Great little boutique hotel with lots of character. Fantastic door knobs and beautiful wood panelling. Service was great, breakfast quite good. Everything here met my needs and made my vacation much more enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone wanting to relax away from the busy streets.

A wonderful base to explore Lunag Prabang from.
Wow we arrived in Luang Prabang on the first day of the New Year Festival and stayed and extra couple of days to look around without the madness (party time/lots of fun). The hotel was great. An easy walk to the Night Market and Old Town, but still in a quiet street, even with the Festival going on all around. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Everything we had them organise for us went well. The included breakfasts were the best - fresh fruits, smoothies/juices, eggs/omelettes, tea/coffee, etc - all cooked to order.

Lakhangthong Boutique Hotel is definitely not a three star hotel in my opinion. It's in a sketchier area of town. Luang Prabang is not like Thailand where you can get a nice hotel for $30 dollars. It's either high end (90USD) or cheap. There are padlocks on the outside of the doors which worried us. The beds had ants in them and there wasn't a shower in the bathroom. There was just a bath with a shower handle that had very little water pressure. No shower curtain makes for wet floors in the bathroom. We ended up changing hotels after one night to a little bit pricier place but man did it make a difference. I wouldn't recommend this hotel!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful little hotel - worth every cent. Everything tastefully arranged - comfortable and cozy. Michael and whole stuff was super-helpful in attending to our needs. Nice bonus were: great breakfast on terrace, free bike rental and free airport transfer! Thank you again!

Amazing stay. Unique rooms.
It was a little further out of the main tourist area but it was definitely worth it. Everyday we walked to the night market and it took no more than 10 minutes. The staff there are very nice, the room was cleaned daily. The rooms themselves were gorgeous. They were made of red wood and had very high ceilings which was a huge plus for me. My biggest gripe was with how thin the walls were -- you could hear roughly the person below you or beside you. I'd stay here again if I ever come back to Luang Prabang.

Très belle impression que cet hôtel, on se sent très très bien dans les chambres, spacieuses, toutes de bois, très classes. De plus le personnel est extrêmement sympathique et serviable, on peut tout leur demander, des vélos sont prêtés gratuitement, un service de pick-up à l'aéroport est aussi gratuit, que demander de plus....

너무 친절하고 조식이 좋습니다!
직원들이 너무 친절하고 야시장과 살짝 먼 것이 아쉽긴 했지만 걸어갈수 있는 거리입니다. 조식도 선택할수 있고 만족했습니다. 루앙프라방에 오게된다면 꼭 다시 숙박하고 싶습니다

次回もここに滞在したいと思いました。朝食の種類が多いので長期滞在者には特によいと思います。中心街から少し離れていますが、運動にちょうど良い距離（ゆっくり歩いて10分程度）ですし、必要なら自転車を貸してくれます。周辺にもゲストハウスやホテルがたくさんあり、夜も怖くはありませんでした。バスタブやシャワーの水量も温度も十分で快適でした。

ゆっくり、したい人ならここ。 朝ごはん、数種類から選べる。 お風呂水圧OK それほど汚くない ちょっと街から外れてるぶん、非常に静か。 (町自体小さいので全く問題なし) 水飲み放題。 ホテルの作りが本当に頑丈。 朝、皆が、一生懸命掃除している。 凄く清潔。 ホテルマンのMingがなんでもリクエストすればしてくれる。 リゾートホテルだ
