It was our first travel to Cuba so we did not know what a Casa Particular means in practise, and how it is in Havana, but we made reservation in any case. Taxi took us to a typical Havana (Centro) address and pointed us narrow stairs to go a steel door and ring a doorbell on the wall. Behind the door was friendly three generation family living in a newly renovated at end of 1800 era built apartment. One modest room was reserved to us with beds and built in bathroom. Ewerything was notably clean, kitchen including, they make us a good Cuban style breakfast. Host family made us everything that was possible to Cuban private people. As private accommodation everything was ok.

Recommend staying here in Havana

Our host and his family were lovely, he arranged airport pickup for 30 Euros and gave us lots of information about Cuba on arrival to the Casa. The room was spacious and the bathroom was good. The internet was connected through the host’s hotspot so he would allow us to use it whenever around. Breakfast was amazing, at €5 we received fruits, bread, eggs, meat, juice, tea, coffee and cakes. The spread is well worth getting in the mornings. The location is also great, around a 20 minute walk to the centre and only a few blocks away from Malecon along the coast. There are a few good restaurants nearby too. I would recommend this casa for anyone looking to stay in Havana.

Amazing stay in authentic Havana casa!

We had a great stay in Havana. Juan Carlos and his family are brilliant hosts, they were so welcoming and did so much to help us make the most of our time in Havana. The location was great, we could walk into the city centre and historic district easily. They also made a brilliant breakfast in the morning - we would fully recommend!

Wir hatten einen wirklich schönen Aufenthalt. Die Familie ist super freundlich und der Hausherr ist sehr bemüht dir alles wichtige zu erklären. Egal welches Anliegen wir hatten, wurde uns immer weitergeholfen. Zur Weiterreise hat uns der Hausherr ein wirklich schickes Oldtimer-Taxi zu einem super Preis bestellt. Erwähnenswert ist außerdem das leckere und reichliche Frühstück. Auch dort wurde sich beispielsweise auf unsere vegetarischen Bedürfnisse eingestellt. Die Lage der Unterkunft nahmen wir als äußert praktisch wahr. Man war sowohl schnell in der Altstadt als auch am Meer. Alles in allem haben wir uns einfach nur wohl gefühlt.
