"The stay was comfortable and the gardens lovely. The drinks and barstaff great, reception great and friendly with advice on sight seeing. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a broken window pane and the furnishings were dated. Bed comfortable. The food was disappointing. I had a seafood chowder which was pretty good and the fish tasted fresh. the main was a steak that looked pale and was not cooked with lots of fat and gristle, the vegetables were overcooked. The desert tasted OK but...

"Hôtel situé dans un château datant de 1832. Personnel aimable et professionnel Très beau et grand parc. Décoration de l’hôtel rétro, classique et raffinée. Grande chambre, confortable et calme, elle aussi, avec un style rétro. Petit cours d’histoire de la région en début de soirée par un des membres du personnel, avec un petit verre de bienvenue. "The resort is a bit out of the way but that was what made it special. No cell phone coverage at the resort so you have time to reset and enjoy your surroundings."

"People were quite friendly. The room was clean, nice and warm. The pool was a great opportunity to get some lap swimming in during my brief stay. It helped me sleep like a baby, despite having traveled 8 time zones and about 12 hrs to get there."

"10/10 super central and cosy guesthouse in Clifden. Super location, clean rooms, fast wifi and the Nespresso machines in the room were a welcome surprise. The kitchen and entrance are getting a refurb but its a minor quibble, it looks exciting . The wine bar will open in July but the space is free to use for guests and is a really cool, chill space. Really friendly local owner who gave us some local tips on the hidden gems of Connemara . 10/10"

"La chambre et la salle de bain étaient spacieuses et très propre. Le petit déjeuner est servi sous forme de buffet continental qui est bon : fromage, charcuterie, fruits , pains avec beurre et confitures. Le parking est gratuit : 5 min de trajet jusqu'au centre ville ou possibilité de s'y rendre à pied en 10 min. Le personnel est très aimable et a pu me renseigner sur les endroits où se restaurer pour le soir. Très bonne situation pour séjourner dans le Connemara !"
