"When I arrived, I was early. My check-in was at 4 pm. My room was ready for 1 day only. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Went to my room and it was clean and ready for me to use. Parking was excellent. Of course I was early. The lady who checked me in said they were very busy. So that meant I couldn't leave my parking spot. Had a full night of sleep. Went for a run and then took a shower. My only concern for the bathroom is that they need to upgrade to a walk-in shower. Other than that everything was excellent at this hotel. Breakfast was great. Gravy and biscuits, with eggs and ham. My next trip to Woodstock, Virginia, I will stay at this hotel again. Hotel is highly recommended."

"My wife and I stumbled across this listing when searching for a weekend getaway, with natural beauty within reasonable distance of D.C. It was just over 2 hours distance to get there. We were very happy with these lodgings, were very comfortable and clean and the price was reasonable. The staff at the activity center were very friendly and helpful with check-in process and answering questions. The activity center also has an indoor pool, hot tub, and a small fitness room which is well maintained. No restaurant on site but several dining options nearby. We also found two different, nice hiking trails within a few minutes drive. Our apartment was large enough for four people, honestly we should have invited some friends to join us. Just a couple of minor details that could be improved: (1) the tap water has a slight unpleasant taste, so maybe advise guests to bring some containers which they can use to fill with the purified water available at the activity center. (2) The locking mechanisms of both the front and back doors of the unit are getting a bit worn, difficult to lock and unlock."
