There are units in different buildings as we did not have a rooftop pool as expected, nor a view or sofabed as pictured. It was a futon style.
Check in and check out was easy, but we learned that the toilets were being replaced the next day starting at 8am, not ideal wanting to sleep in on vacation. You are also responsible for personal items like electronics and passports so it caused us great anxiety leaving the unit. This was beyond their control, but we were not given the opportunity to cancel or price reduction.
The unit had holes in the walls behind the bedroom doors, a broken bedside table in one, and one bathroom had grime, a gross showerhead, and dirty curtain.
It is important to note that the bedrooms did not have room darkening blinds. The bedrooms do not get dark due to the pool and pathway lighting on all night and one pool light shines directly on the bed in 1 room making it challenging to sleep. (Photo taken at midnight)
The key/fob did not work well on the elevator and it was difficult to get to the parkade.
There was a guest guidebook in the room but it lacked information on how to use the thermostat or where to find the fitness center or business center. We could not find access to either.
Pelican initiated follow-up with us the 1st day and indicated they would address these things quickly but not before our departure. Hopefully, they will.
A box of laundry soap would be nice, and a security latch on the front door more secure at night.
