We always love coming to this hotel, beautiful grounds and very nice comfortable room. Sad we have to sign that we accept a $500 service charge and $10 per day parking fee. Still 3 days later i still haven't received my $500 deposit returned.

The Residence Inn Cypress Los Alamitos follows the brand required breakfast which includes scrambled eggs, a breakfast protein such as sausage and bacon, waffles, yogurt and toppings, hot and cold cereals, bagels and english muffins and fresh whole fruit. Comfortable stay. My only recommendation is to get new pillows, the ones in the room would get too flat when you lay your head on them.

Fleas and a smoking property
Although they advertise non-smoking buildings, beware, they are fully smoking buildings. We stayed here for 4 nights unaware that we could check out early for a refund, and not only were we swimming in smoke during the day and pot smoke at night, but the lot is invested with fleas. We would go to sleep each night and wake up covered in more flea bites than the night before. Quite an unbearable stay, and their only suggestion was to move to a room across the hall, where there would still be smoke as well as the flea infestation. Save your hard earned money, healthy lungs, and unscathed skin and stay elsewhere. Very disappointed in marriott.

Charged me a last minute $300 deposit citing the room I picked. In 25 years going there, never had that happen. Notified me too late to change reservation. Ended up not staying there and ate the single night. Now waiting to see in I "damaged" the room and lose the deposit having never stepped into the room. I will not be back.

Dear Craig, I am so sorry that the security deposit policy was not made clear to you at the time of booking. In reviewing the Expedia website, it is stated under the section that is titled "Not Included in your total". Rest assured you have not been charged any other fees except for the one night's room and tax.

Close to my sons house when we come to visit. However the A/C only cools the room off to 68 which is not cold enough for me. I have to bring a fan every time. Also bring your own T.P. Theirs is like newspaper.

If you have a young baby, don’t book this place. They don’t want to help you to get a pack n play and they will blame on you for everything going wrong. I got the packnplay the first night. But because the fridge was super loud, we changed room the next day. I borrowed the packnplay from the hotel, I left it the old room and simply thought I can get one in the evening. However, after I got the room at around 8 pm that night the first thing I do was to call front desk to get a pack n play. The front desk lady said because all packnplays are in storage, only room cleaning people have the key and they were all off work. So I can’t get the pnp. I asked if anyone has back up key, or if she can call anyone who has the key to help. She said no one has the key and refused to help. I also asked if she can ask nearby Marriott hotel, we can pick up ourselves. She refused to help. And then she started to blame on me not to bring the pnp with me from my first room. I said no one told me that. She replied it is not their responsibility to tell me I need to bring it with me and it is not their responsibility to give me another one because they gave one to me last night. So then what is their responsibility? She then blame on me that I didn’t call them early enough so the room keeping people are still here. Do I have to know all their schedules to be qualified to stay there? We finally had to buy one from target so my son was able to sleep.

Arrived 3:30. Check in is at 4pm. Clerk told us room isn’t ready we will call you. Asked for Number. Great! Never received a call. Came back at 7:30pm told them they never called me. Told me she will cover the parking. Didn’t know I had to pay for that. Great! Later I get an additional bill for Parking. 7 bucks. Also a lot of flies all over the premises. Due to Allowing dogs. Other than that. Great place.

Loved the cleanliness and quietness.The staff were friendly and helpful.The coffee was great.The outdoor scrubbery was beautiful. You need to update the room by making it more bright and cheerful. The carpet needs to be replaced. I prefer the new hardwood floors. It is heathier.

Excellent staff, property needs some work
Firstly, I want to start off by saying the staff here are amazing. They are attentive, considerate and we’re always working to make the resort look great. We had a 2 bedroom unit, and it was just ‘okay’. The beds were doubles (queens would have been nice) the pillows were lumpy and saggy, and the pillow tops on the bed felt old and worn. There were pieces of trim falling off the walls, dirt in the corners of our unit, the carpets left our feet black, light fixtures in the main shared areas were falling down.. overall it presents well, but up close there were a lot of poorly upkept features.
