"We stayed 6 nights at this wonderful accommodation. Throughly enjoyed our stay as well as all that the far North has to offer. The hosts were so hospitable and engaging. They certainly made us feel at home and nothing was too much for them. The view of the harbour from our hilltop room was spectacular and the surrounding native bush was the perfect get away. Along with stunning views we enjoyed a delicious breakfast and delightful company each morning. Highly recommend a stay at Allegra House. "

"We decided to spend a little more on accommodation than we would normally do, and I am so glad we did. I'm sure our trip to Northland would not have been the same if we hadn't. The place is beautiful, calm, the views stunning, everything you see on the photos. What we hadn't anticipated was the natural, unfussy kindness of the hostess, who made us a spectacular breakfast every morning at the time we preferred, and gave us some really great recommendations of what to do with time, kindly made...

"A lovely place with a great view of the bay! Can feel a little bit exposed, the lacy blinds are a little bit too see through. Would also be really nice if there were hooks by the door to hang coats etc. Great location, walking distance to all the tourist things! "

"Wonderful place to stay, with extra touches to make our stay special. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with plenty of space, with a balcony offering beautiful views over Bay of Islands. Excellent location for getting to quay fir boat and ferry trips and within walking distance of Waitangi Treaty Grounds. (Although the steep walk back up hill after a day out is quite tough...but view was worth it). "

"Hot pools very good and also excellent location meant our car was unsed during our stay. The menu choice was notvas good as previusly.Al so lack of bar snack menu. A negative was the fee for using a visa debt card!"

"Excellent. Very convenient. Room was spacious and well-equipped. Staff was very nice. We actually couldn't make it for the first night because of a change in plans so we tried to contact the hotel but couldn't get through. When we arrived the next day, we did not get any funny looks or stares. We just got the same nice, courteous service we would expect. Plus, the location cannot be beat. Right on the beach. You can literally see the ocean from here! And feel that nice sea breeze wafting through...
