Hotel Dekat Longwood Park

"The property and staff were wonderful as usual. Our issue is that they now charge for parking. This fee is new, as we have stayed here many times in the past. This property is not in a location that would need to have exclusive rights to parking and charging to park here is ridiculous. The hotel is located in an area all by itself. "The room was very clean and all the conveniences were provided. There was a hair dryer, ironing board., and iron, a tv, and clock, a refrigerator and ice and buckets located downstairs. Dual shades provided light or dark. The rooms were a bit smaller but clean and all conveniences. The beds were comfortable and a variety of pillows, both soft and firm. "Staff was brand new and in the phone messed up my reservation and charged me twice then. The manager didn’t want to give me a refund, even though the staff and their new system messed up my reservation. The hotel was good but the service was terrible"

"Lobby area and bar were fine, but the room and hallways smelled like old wet clothes. The smell in the hall was just as bad. Had to open sliding door overnight to help. Dark and dingy overall. Not worth the Marriott price tag by any means. Not a hotel I will come back to. Also, they charge extra if you drive. Really, $5 to park at the hotel Im staying at."

"The property is undergoing renovations so there was the expected construction dust and things around. However that night the fire alarm went off and they evacuated the hotel for safety precautions! I had just dozed off, there was a small child who was scared to death! The gentleman at the front desk looked terrified and he was on two separate phones he looked a nervous wreck!"
