"It is exactly what you look for in a budget hotel option but I do wish it was a little bit less expensive given the offering. It isn't overly nice or updated but it is generally clean and in a great location for walking to things downtown."

"Had a fantastic stay at Ben View Guest House. The rooms were clean, comfortable and in a great location, with a really welcoming atmosphere throughout. A special mention to Dio, who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish — friendly, helpful and genuinely went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble, and his hospitality really made the experience stand out. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!"

"Veldig hyggelig vertinne. Stedet serverer ikke frokost, med det var satt inn mange forskjellige matvarer til bruk ved frokost. Fikk tilbud om skyss inn til sentrum ved avsluttet opphold. Tok ca 20 min å gå fra sentrum."

"We had a platinum dog friendly lodge overlooking the Loch . On the first day we saw a dolphin in the water which was really special . The accommodation was clean and had everything we needed. Great cafe on site would def recommend a stay here ."

"Old property, we stayed there only 1 night as we were going to Skye. Don't expect much, it isn't bad considering location and competitors. It does have a cozy atmosphere and a great dine area, service isn't there forte though. Solid 8/10"

"Neil is a phenomenal host who has thought of everything. And if you want to know about the history of Scotland or England or want to discuss it, you've come to the right place! He's incredibly knowledgeable about a variety of topics. He's also a tremendous cook and has a great sense of humor. And the view of Ben Nevis right out the window is to die for. We slept very well in the super comfortable bed and woke to the sound of chirping birds."

"Very nice location, on the water near The Corran ferry which you can access to go to restaurants across the loch. Large parking lot, very comfortable common areas to include a large living room/lounge area, kitchen and outdoor space. The rooms are quite small but sufficient if only staying 1-2 nights. The shower was very small so if you are tall or large, you may have an issue. We enjoyed our stay here."

"The hotel is being upgraded so I'm cutting them some slack as they tried their best. Our room, beds were good bathroom was very dated with broken tiles. No hot water at the sink even after running the water for a few mins. No closet rod to hang anything. Owner was very friendly and approachable. No food or beverages on site but Spar is a minute walk away. Cheap alcohol and decent selection of food. No hair dryer and very poor reception on their wifi due to the building's thick walls. "This was a beautiful surprise. We needed a one night stay in the area and I booked this place. I wished we stayed longer. The location is excellent. The property surrounding is well maintained and beautiful. The hotel, restaurant, and room are cozy and welcoming. I even joked that if I ever decide to get married, I want it to be here."

"I don't understand how a hotel with such an incredible location and view could be so run down. The place is dirty and poorly kept. The painting and general maintenance is either non-existent or done by people with zero skills and budget. Many of the lights in the room didn't work. The wifi is utterly useless. The food was actually pretty decent, though, so they get one positive point here."
