"Our stay was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Check‑in was uninformative, and we were handed a piece of paper that turned out to contain outdated instructions about car registration. After rushing back downstairs, we were told it didn’t apply — so it really shouldn’t be given to guests at all. The restaurant experience wasn’t any better. Service was poor, the staff complained about making cocktails, and they were spilled twice. The food was average, the wine list wasn’t available, and...

"Great location just on the edge of town, nice and easy to find. Staff were all great throughout, check-in was straightforward and painless, room was immaculate and comfortable, even better than it looked in pics. Breakfast was fantastic too (don't miss the porridge with whisky and honey!). Will definitely be back on our next trip to the area."

"The staff were very nice, friendly and cheerful, the bed was comfy, the room was hot, the food (dinner and breakfast) was ok. But that’s about it. I don’t understand how a big hotel chain can justify this as a 4 star? The place was dirty, the furniture tired and you could see paint coming off. Let’s not try and pass it as a character property. It needs investment and serious refurbishment as it’s currently a very old and not looked after b&b than a 4 star boutique. "
