The cottage sits on its own, and has a secure gated driveway, but the added convenience of being just off the main road into Criccieth and Pwllheli, and with a mile walk to the beach. Well equipped in the main, though take your own loo rolls! Booked through Hotels.com but actually through Sykes Cottages, who offered great service on the phone. "Our visit was planned to join family who were camping nearby. We requested a twin room and was very disappointed to be given a disabled room although clean was very basic. Breakfast order was requested and a time at which to eat it even before given keys to our room. I can understand that if the breakfast was served on arrival. However, bacon and sausage has obviously been sitting keeping warm for a while. Second day requested a lighter alternative. Overall the place was very clean and staff very friendly. Outside the front door needs attention and the area to the annex where our room was needs attention. All in all a pleasant stay but far too high a price for the standard of accommodation."
