"Off to a bad start due to the, otherwise very pleasant, owner pouncing on us as we arrived following a day of travel. We really just wanted to be left alone to arrive and unpack. Not the right time to attempt to convey information and instructions as we unpacked from the car. "Self check in fine, house a warren but found everything, room a good size, fought with the windows to open them eventually succeeding. New carpets were being laid so the lounge area was closed and other areas had bare gripper strips and underlay. The shared facilities were clean and all working though expect a wait for hot water if you are first in. A lovely breakfast cooked to order and our first interaction with staff which was nice. A great location for the beach, castle and town centre, parking pot luck on the surrounding streets. All in all, a little gem."
