Princess Senses The Mangrove Resort - Adults Only

10/10 Excellent

"I first want to commend your customer service team who responds to guests inquiries via the Expedia app. This was my first time traveling with an injury that impeded my walking. The team was very responsive and extremely accommodating. The check-in process was very smooth, and the service was exceptional. It really set the tone for the resort and the trip. The rooms are absolutely stunning. When we return we will be opting for a swim up room, wow, just wow. The food was exceptional at every restaurant we went to. We had the pleasure of dining at the following; Roberts Flame, The Pearl, Jamrock, and Umami. Absolutely, blown away by the service, decor and food. The decor was stunning, I would love to know who the designer was. There were several areas and pieces of furniture that I will now have displayed on a vision board for my next home. Special shoutout to TJ at the swim up bar and Antonette at the Azure snack bar. Both wonderful team members, however, all staff was great. My husband and I enjoyed a massage from the spa. The masseuses were extremely polite and very gentle with my injured foot. My only complaint was that the massage felt more like being highly moisturized with oil as opposed to working out knots. This may have just been the type of massage we booked. Overall incredible stay! We will be returning and with friends & family!"

Sunset at the Palms Resort - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"First off, there is nothing we didn't like about Sunset at the Palms! As soon as we got there, we were welcomed with a drink and given a short tour. When we got to our room, there was a personal note from the person who got our room ready. Mini fridge stocked with water and Red Stripes, robes and slippers, perfectly working a/c and ceiling fan and the room was immaculate. We loved having the balcony to sit on at the beginning/end of our days, also. Overall, the set up of Sunset was the biggest plus for us. They were definitely booked up, but guests weren't crawling all over each other. There is enough room at the pool, dining areas, beach, etc. for everyone to enjoy the resort in their own space if they want to. All of the staff, no matter where we were, were very friendly and accommodating. The cambio and gift shop are very convenient. We had our own car, so we could explore more on our own (recommend it if you can brave the roads), but did utilize the resort's services to book a catamaran tour to Rick's Cafe. All of the food was so good! Omelets at breakfast were a clear favorite. There were always lots of choices. Non meat/vegetarian (vegan too!) options seemed to be at every buffet meal. We had a few reservations in their restaurant room that were also amazing. Romantic dinners are always a good idea. The jerk chicken linguini is 🔥 Basically, Sunset at the Palms is worth your money. It's a great place, full of great people and you'll have a great stay. We'll be back!"

"Very peaceful property to lay back and relax,food good,drinks good,Latoya was in charge of meals alot and bar,very pleasant staff.Small property alot better than a big noisy place full of drunks.Beach very good,few feet away.Needs a large fan in dining area when no breeze.Dont expect phones in room.Got stood up on picking us up.Suggest using JUTA service ."

"Overall I had a great stay, but it’s not at the top of my list of resorts to go back to. Pros: The beach is incredible! Velvety white sand, crystal clear but somehow still beautifully blue water, perfect temperature. They keep the beach very clean. There are plenty of beach chairs and they have a floating pad on them so you can float in the ocean. The restaurant food for dinner was delicious no matter which one we chose. MOST water sports are included. Snorkeled twice and did a catamaran ride for free. They do expect tips on these. Cons: The food for every meal except dinner is mediocre at best. It’s really hard to find something decent to eat during the day. There is also no late night food. They say that diving is included, but it is only if you’re certified. You can do the class in the pool for free, but it costs $80 per person to dive The service isn’t very good. We did have an occasional server that was very attentive, but overall, the service really lacked. It was quite difficult to get a drink refill, especially on the beach. Food takes a very long time to come out, even at lunch. We were often not even acknowledged when approaching the towel hut or veggie bar. Some people might not care about this, but there is almost no music at the resort. Sometimes they play music at the pool bar, and outside of that, there is no music in the bars, at the restaurants, at the pool, etc unless they are doing an entertainment activity that is music."
