The hotels.com website shows photos which do not match the grungy commune-like nature of this ‘place’. Finding it is a nightmare since there are only 2 handwritten folded paper signs at key intersections. The physical surroundings of ‘nature’ are mediocre. The toilet seat was broken and not attached and the toilet did not flush properly. There is NOTHING positive I can say. It is the worst hotels.com property I have ever had the misfortune to go to.
The Common Knowledge Centre was the most unique B&B we encountered in Ireland. We knew that we were renting dorm rooms and our expectations were adjusted accordingly. The rooms were rustic and clean. We felt safe and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very good - consisting of a wonderful homemade granola mix, yogurt, honey, homemade breads and spreads. The coffee was great! The location is well off the beaten track but Apple Maps led us to the front door without any problems. Staff were very friendly and on checkout, we were greeted by the most friendly Pug (dog).
